Just found this thread, and if wallace is in it then i'll def check this show out.

Loved vm but season 3 def took a downturn. Quick derail: is it necessary to see all 3 seasons of vm before watching the movie? My wife has seen a few episodes in season 1 and about half of season 2 so far. She's ready to just go ahead and watch the movie b/c it's been out for a bit now, but i'm wondering if she'll be confused about anything in it.

yeah it's renewed. i think it did fairly well in the ratings.

finale was great!!!!! loved it. lots of very dark stuff. and music was great(except it was terrible in the major/liv reckoning scene)

peterchi, wallace is only a guest star in one episode. and your wife can totally go ahead and watch the vm movie.

i LOVED veronica mars!

this show is good, but not great. season 1 finale was pretty elite though. other than that, most/all of the episodes have been solidly good, but not great.

it's gotta be the best current network show

Just started watching iZombie. I liked it after the first 20 seconds as it is tonally quite similar to Veronica Mars, which itself had a lot in common with Buffy. It's easy to imagine Sarah Michelle Gellar, Kristen Bell and Rose McIver playing each other's roles.

smg was fantastic as buffy, but i don't think she could have pulled off veronica mars. i don't know how she was so good as buffy. she wasn't very good in other stuff.

I always get bored of procedurals but this show has made a smart move with Liv assuming the personalities of the murder victims. It means that the "crime of the week" actually has an impact on her character instead of being essentially inconsequential. It's also simply fun to watch.

The show has generally done a good job in continually developing the overarching plot and the character, and the wit of the writing sets it apart from most procedurals.

another good episode, more witty dialogue, funny fight scene, good acting, good story development

what is with the ridiculous looking brains though? they aren't even close to the right color.

my favorite line was when the ex preacher said something like "god gives strength. i will eat no more brains"

and the other guy said "revelations?" lol!!
