It's Always Sunny In Philadelphia - Season 10 - Page 8

The AVClub review for the finale had a good point about IASIP's success and how it's more impressive the others that lasted as long. And that was that the characters haven't gone through life changes, but they still keep the eps fresh.

I'd say it did. But it also had a higher high then IASIP. Both of their lowest might've been close, though.

I love southpark but they are super inconsistant and I think your view might be based on their last out of the norm season.

Nah, I'm still taking SP by miles. Both shows have had some inconsistencies throughout their runs. Though there are probably 2 seasons of IASIP I could've done without, but there were still good eps in there.

thankfully we don't have to choose one we can watch and enjoy both!
I do think it's slightly unfair to compare them as it seems easier to maintain a high level of quality with an animated show.

however SP is undeniably an amazing work of satire.

As was the case with this season of Always Sunny, South Park's 10th season was incredible. That season had the Warcraft episode, the Family Guy & Mohammed 2-parter, Richard Dawkins banging Mr/Mrs Garrison, and niiiiiiiiice.

To be fair, there were also a few duds in that season. Though it doesn't seem to get a lot of love, I also really liked the Towelie+Oprah episode.
