Impractical Jokers Impractical Jokers

Didn't see a thread on this. Basically 4 friends makes themselves do embarrassing things in public, and if they refuse enough they have to do something super embarrassing at the end. Could easily be the funniest show on TV. New episodes are on Thursdays at 7 PST (10 EST) on TruTV with reruns running around that time as well.

Here are some clips, although they only show 2 of the 4 jokers and some of them are cut short.

I found this show about 2 weeks ago and have watched all of them so far.

Easily one of the funniest shows I have ever seen.

The only thing that gets me sometimes is that although it's based on how many times you lose, sometimes they make the others do some ridiculous things that are just an autoloss.

The catch is, though, that afterwards they tell people what they are doing and a lot of people agree to be on the show. That's why their faces aren't blurred. They never actually go through the reveal though.

My favorite is the one about the roommate.

Do you think the show would be better if they showed some (but not all) of the reveals? I think this show is similar to MTV's Boiling Points in some ways, and showing the reveals in that show added to it.

Hard to pick a favorite show, but I think Joe has the most consistency in terms of funny.

I'm not sure. I don't really watch shows like this, but these guys pull it off.

Sometimes I'd like to know people's reactions when they find out what is going on, especially the pranks that piss people off.

But then again, not having the reveal makes viewers think they are just walking away leaving everyone clueless as to what just happened. As far as I know, though, you have to have consent to film people to put them on television so the people who you can see are people who gave consent.

They said that after people find out what is going on they think it's awesome that they will be on tv.

-- So I went to watch a clip from MTV and I don't even find that worth watching at all.

The thing that is great about Impractical Jokers is that it's always the same 4 guys, so you get to know them, you get to know their personalities and how they interact with each other as friends. Plus, it's more spontaneous as they often tell each other what they have to say or do, so it can get pretty hilarious at times.

Agreed with your first sentence, it probably makes the perception of the show better. And yea, if they didn't tell people afterwards then there wouldn't be the blurring of some faces in the first place. It would be annoying for them if they have to track down every person in the backround.

One of the funniest shows on TV...too bad it is tucked away on such a ****ty network like TruTV.

This is a really, really good show, one of the better prank shows I think I've ever seen. The exercise one is amazing.

Yeah I came across this show by accident on a network I'd never heard of and set my DVR to record series after about five minutes.

This is one of the funniest shows I've ever seen. When I was watching the NCAA tournament I thought it was going to be pretty dumb but not even close. Too bad it's not on a station I frequent or I'd watch it a lot more.

If I had to rank them I'd go
Murr>>Joe>>>Sal>Q

They're all quite hilarious tho in different ways.

Seinfeld keeps the straightest face and will do anything as long as it's not sexual harassment. Karl Pilkington is the best at improvising. Everybody Loves Raymond voice and token fat guy are both pretty funny.
