Agreed. This season is off to a great start. Really enjoyed Joel2006's last post... Has me thinking that Quinn is probably being used as the backup plan by those who were unsuccessful in killing Carrie at the camp.

Hey guys, did anyone tell you yet that the ISIS recruiter told Quinn "Bitte" and not "Peter" ?

Not really. Maybe it's just me, seems like no one else has picked up on that.

I can somewhat accept that Quinns first kill doesn't get him busted, but the one at the gas station?
Are we seriously just supposed to buy that they don't have surveillance cameras in Germany?

How does there being surveillance cameras bust him though?
It's not like he's just a guy living in Germany that they can track down. He's a freaking spy with whatever resources he needs, working alone. Nobody to rat him out or identify him.

Yeah good point, I just feel having Quinns face attached to assassination after assassination will eventually catch up to them.
Not to mention he would have had to use picture ID to get into the country.

She clearly said Pittr

Claire Danes was on Howard a couple of weeks ago and said the show has not finished shooting and it was unclear about where it was going. Don't take that as a great sign. Also means she doesn't get murrrderred anytime soon. Unless she's running a Carrieesque double-cross on us.

I assumed she said "bitter", because she was probably chewing on her Hajib before Peter took if off.

that's pretty awesome that some of the graffiti in the background said "homeland is racist"

If anything, it's exactly the opposite. It has always posited a rough moral equivalence between the CIA and the terrorists.

Well we know Eowyn from LOTR just backstabbed Saul, and she snubbed Carrie pretty hard in Ep 1.

Seems like they are setting up her character to potentially have something suspiciously layered going on - either carrying a grudge against Carrie or she's the new mole candidate or something.

A group of artists had a contract for making grafitis on set. Here is an interview of a chick who explained what went through their heads lol.

Absolutely ridiculous. They should have their pay rescinded, they should be sued, and Homeland producers should make sure that these scum are put out of business entirely.

That lady in the interview is clearly biased. The show doesn't have a "political message", it simply extends the ugly reality that we face every day. There is no stereotyping being committed by Homeland. We are in a war against scumbags around the world and kudos to Homeland for not meekly toeing the political correctness line.

Ridiculous how Quinn somehow knew he was going to get shot in the bulletproof vest and not in his unprotected head.

I think this episode signaled the beginning of the downhill slide for this show. Something similar happened in Dexter. Everything was great, the show was engaging and captivating, and people were held spellbound. But then for some reason they started getting deliberately deceptive and convoluted, and introducing plot twists that really made no sense other than to forcefully create something for the audience to consider, regardless of the senselessness of how it fit into the overall plot of the show. This episode contained a few too many scenarios that make absolutely no sense in the grand scheme of the show, and whose only ostensible purpose is to keep the viewers guessing for lack of any more creative plot twists by the writers.

In other words, the writers are indicating that they don't know in which direction they want to go, so they are setting up many random potential plots on which they may follow up in future episodes, but realistically they can't all be pursued and most of them will be abandoned, leaving many gaping holes later in the show.
