Wow. Really glad to hear that. Even more excited for the 2-hour final tonight. I was thinking perhaps tonight was going to take place 5-10 years into the future and would be the series finale. Wrong about that.

So happy to hear the news that this show will get a proper ending. Tonight should be interesting. I'm sure the writers were thinking that this could be it, and so was I.

I think the last episode was the "if we get canceled" series finale (or at least elements of it). This should tell us where they're going. Practically every season has been done like the show was going to get canceled, so I'm sure they'll be able to make next season new and interesting no matter what happens in these 2, and we'll get an ending without wondering about it.

Great finale last night, but I'm starting to get tired of all the "have Cameron stare at someone/something with her eyes wide open" scenes

Great Finale.

I thought bug eyed Cameron was really off putting and much more noticeable then any other time.

Great it got renewed.

The party Pixies scene with just Joe and Cam was some of the best TV I've seen. Just perfect.

The show jumped the shark briefly from about just before the end of the first finale ep til about the last quarter of the second final ep. The love triangle angle was a bit forced and a lot of the tech talk was pretty inside baseball.

But it ended very strongly, tho lol at donna having the sway of a ten second phone call getting her a meeting with CERN. Also didn't make total sense she conceded to Cam so easily.

I totally agree. That was a very nostalgic moment for me. I watched it like five times. My Velouria..........
I'm glad they went back to back on the last two episodes. Considering the time jump and all. It worked, very seamless, it was just a two hour finale.
Highlights for me was the Atari party, obviously. Joe's epic door / Holland tunnel monologue. And the last shot of Joe, Cam, and Gordon together again at the start of a new project. So good. Thanks to AMC for giving us one last season next year. Can't wait.

That was really good, and I stand by my assessment that the real season (series) finale was intended to be the episode prior to the 2 hour finale. It looked like Pace had lost a significant amount of weight from that episode to the finale. So, I think what we were really seeing was the beginning of season 4.

I don't remember My Velouria sounding like that, but a lot of Pixies songs don't have the same feel (or remembrance) listening to them so long later.

I had a feeling they were always going to have the gang get back together at some point during the season, and am glad it happened. Joe was always the missing link, and why the Donna/Cameron relationship was able to survive the strife. Without him, that just broke everything. It was funny how the line Gordon said came back to haunt Donna. He told her if she crossed that line with Cameron she would never be able to uncross it. That whole episode was about her to trying to re-capture the past, when everyone knew that could never happen with what she did.

My question is about the last Donna scene. Did she make the call to CERN to undermine them, or did she realize that her job is keeping it all together as the money person? I'm also still wondering if Bos is going to get on the team, too.

I thought Donna was going to try and get to CERN first, she might get the meeting but she doesn't have what it takes to sell an idea like Joe does.

She also doesn't have anyone to make it for her.

Just a heads-up that there's a season 4 thread up:
