He's gotta understand Gotham well enough to protect it

And he's gonna root out corruption at Wayne Enterprises...just enjoy it and stop worrying so much about it or how true it is to the comics

Fish just might be the worst acted character of all time? It's really getting unbearable.

Liked the episode other than that, though.

she seems to be trying to channel eartha kitt. the show feels like the 1960s batman at times.

I felt that was the best ep of the season. Just like what's going on. I get your thoughts on they wont have anywhere to go with Bruce, but it's good he's starting to understand his company and hopefully weed out the corrupt.

After 3 eps I was skeptical, now I'm in.

I don't even think it's the Bruce content that bothers me actually.

If they had flashedback to young bruce witnessing his parents death, and then using a 18-19 year old bruce to 'figure out the city' and all that I don't think I'd have a problem with it - but like he's 10 years old...cmon

I think someone on the board of directors was involved in killing his parents so they could do things like Arkham to the mob and medical experiments, etc that the Wayne's wouldn't approve

So since the murder was the catalyst for all of this mob warfare and arkham stuff, they couldn't just go years in the future

Why can't a tween start to figure this **** out? He doesn't become the greatest detective overnight...he doesn't understand how Gotham works overnight...he works on it for most of his life...

There are kids his age that graduate from college...how is it so unbelievable that he can start to look into things at his age? He isn't out punching and fighting bad guys or anything...

It seems like people are too stuck on the Nolan version or some other versions of Batman's history...

My nitty moment of the episode: Everyone in Gotham has the latest smart phones, but Bruce Wayne has a friggin' tube television in his mansion?

The thing is you wouldn't have the introduction to all these characters as they would already be established. Gordon wouldn't be new to the force.

What I think they should do is let Gotham run in the era it is now for about three years and then skip ahead three years when they bring it back for a new season.

This is the first time you're noticing this? Strange nit considering the show has been deliberately ambiguous about its era since the pilot and the only thing you've picked up on is Bruce's tv...

The creators have intentionally not defined Gotham as taking place in any specific time period. The cops have mobile phones but they use typewriters in the precinct. The buildings in Gotham look like they're from the 1930s but the clothing is straight out of a 70s cop show. The cars cover several time periods - taxis are vintage 1950s new york, cop cars are from the 70s, etc...

So I remember hearing the Falcone name in Batman movies but not Marone. Was he made up for the show?

yeah i had similar thoughts as well, like she really wanted to play catwoman and studied eartha kitt a lot, but the producers were like lol, how old are you? then they had to give her a part anyway because they were afraid of pissing off will smith or something.

she's probably not even doing that bad a job of acting and it just seems terrible because she no longer has any control over any muscles in the upper half of her face from all the botox.

Had to check her filmography but she was Jeff Goldblum's ex in Independence Day.

She was Blair Waldorfs mother in gossip girl... For all you gg lovers.

This show has my seal of approval. Need more Barbara showing skin scenes. Love Penguins character and the crazy side he has to him like the killing the guy for a sandwich then killing the guy with the bottle who gave him a lift.

I like this in the same way I like the ambiguous time period in Archer.

If I created a movie/series it would have a look similar to Gotham mixing eras to create it's own feel.
