Another pretty good article by Maureen Ryan (who I am not friends with):

Here's another one, that's very detailed, and talks more in depth about Arfin's issues, which are plenty.

This one takes the other side, sort of.

"I'm going home to my parents, covered in cum!"

2nd ep was a lot better than the first, the stuff with hannah's folks (and esp the stupid opium) was forced and silly. the beautiful abortion ep was quite good. I'm in for the season.

such absurdity. I mean, i get it on a network. the bs is so contrived anyway that they maybe should put in some token ethnic characters. this is hbo and someone is making a piece of art..let them ****ing make it and judge it on it's merits. asdlfjasd

I thought the second episode was really strong. The only negative to me was that there were a few scenes where the dialog seemed to be overly cleverly scripted - smart and witty, but just too polished to be real (conjuring up Juno and the backlash that got about the same thing).

I like that Dunham is unlikable. The personality mix of the four women is solid.

I do think that it's a lot easier to relate to this show if you have lived in New York (I did) or other cities with a lot of bohemian, hipster types, not that I'm saying these girls necessarily fit that mold.

I dug the pilot and thought the 2nd ep was damn funny, but this show has gotten really good. I see why it's been reviewed so well.

Yes, I like every episode more than the previous one. Last one was very very good. One of my favorite of the moment.

The final scene of the 3rd episode with Hannah and Marnie dancing to Robyn was pretty much perfect.

Wait by weasel face are you talking about the 2nd hottest girl on the show?

once you get beyond Brian Williams' daughter "hot" isn't really the word I'd use. I don't like the hippy chick, then you got weasel face whoi thought was ugly until i saw her body, then you got frumpy ass Hannah. ... but yes, im talking about Mamat's daughter. Tight little body on her.

hahaha this episode was off the wall. I was dying throughout the hannah/boss office scene.

I love this show.

What's the deal with Jessa's pregnancy? We saw that one episode she blew off the abortion and then they never addressed it again? Really strange that they could blow off that storyline, Did that resolve itself but I missed it somehow?

She madeout with a dude at the end of that ep and when his hand went to her nether regions, she was having her .

Nice ep. Better then 1 and 2, but not quite as good as 3 and 4. I like how this show consistently surprises me, but after some reflection, it wasn't that surprising. In the moment, I do go WTF, LOL often.

I kinda had trouble believing Hannah's actions in this one - not that the show is supposed to be realistic, but I think it's supposed to be quasi-realistic. I liked the way the scene with the boss played out, but I didn't think it made much sense. I guess for the momentum of the show and to have the payoff at the end of the episode, she needed to quit, and might as well blow it up into a big scene, but, yeah.

man, that was weird.

**** marnie.

I find Jessa really likeable. Not sure if I'm supposed to, tho
