Great episode. Gave me the feels. The show has been very enjoyable at various moments throughout the years when at its best. Yes, annoying and bratty at other times but well worth putting up with for quality like this episode. I think you see Lena maturing and getting a little reflective now, and it's a good thing.

Will miss the show when it's done. Have only watched it once so I'll definitely rewatch at some point, maybe soon to gear up for the finale.

Dunham is really bringing it, both last season and this one. Credit where it's due. I'll also miss this show when it's gone, never thought I'd be saying that.

This show is an unimaginative adolescent schoolgirl fantasy masquerading as insight and statement of the female psyche. Any exploration of relationships ultimately devolve into men-are-horrible and as-bad-as-I-am-flucked-up-boys-are-always-worse. Except of course when a shirtless Adam Driver is running to save Hannah from herself.

It's a shame as the pure comic moments - like Hannah shining sun in her pussy - can be really great.

Hate watch this pos with the gf and can't wait until it's over

It is no way attempting to provide insight into the female psyche

Season is off to a very good start, though I didn't think E3 was as good as the first two. Elijah continues to GOAT it up.

Elijah or Ray spinoff......one time.....

Actually, I've take anything except for Marnie, who, by the way, is looking insanely skinny this season.

Show's been on absolute fire this season imo. The last ep was ridiculously well done. They're even nailing these Hannah-centric eps now which didn't use to be the case.

Having that said I really wish Elijah, Ray and Adam all get more screen time. Elijah has been hilarious this season.

"Hahahahahahahahahahahaha.... you're gross."

Was one of Elijah's best. True, efficient, and hilarious. His one liners are great this season.

Marnie has essentially no redeeming qualities. But Lena has (expertly, IMO) defined her character as someone who is incapable of both consenting to and refusing sex. This is demonstrated on screen by numerous scenes (usually abruptly introduced) where Marnie is somewhere between reluctantly pleased and painfully bored while being bent over or held down. The cumulative effect of these images is to leave most men feeling vaguely attracted to her even though they can't name a single reason why.

I'm going to take a shot in the dark and say men are attracted to Marnie because Allison Williams is attractive. I've done research on this, and it turns out to be one of the leading causes.

It's weird how much better the male characters on the show are. Maybe it's a dude thing, but even Desi cracks me the **** up.

Desi is incredible. That scene with Marnie and the psychiatrist was perfect.

This season has been some of the best TV I have watched in years. I think this show won't get the credit it deserves because of a shitty season or two coupled with Lena Dunham being really annoying.

It's funny, because you'd think Hollywood would trip over themselves to give awards and acclaim to a show basically written, produced, and starring a woman. But after 5 seasons I think it's been nearly shut out for Emmys and no one puts it on top ten lists. Then lo and behold - a funny thing happened over the past two seasons, in that it started to get really, really good.

I loathe Dunham IRL, but I'm enjoying what she's done here, and it's a shame she won't get the recognition she deserves critically.

Man, Elijah telling Hannah she's going to be a shitty mother is probably the first time I've ever felt bad for her over the whole run of the show. That was a brutal scene.

And yeah, re: the above posts, the disconnect between how annoying Dunham is as a person and the A+ quality of this show is pretty nuts.

Good episode, though I'm gonna roll my eyes pretty hard if this ends with Hannah and Adam getting back together.

Would bang Marnie's mom's friend.

Mia,

The Adam movie narrative device is so good IMO, and the show is just so good in general right now.

And yes to Marnie's mom's friend.
