Wasn't too familiar with Emmy Rossum but she was really good in the pilot.

Didn't know anything about Shameless, watched this pilot. Entertaining enough. Oddly long, though, 58 mins without commercials. I took several breaks while watching. Kind of exhausting for a dramedy.

I kinda liked it. I don't know the British original and that's probably a good thing because usually re-makes suck compared to the original.

A bunch of shows have been renewed in the last couple of days: Raising Hope, Modern Family, Cougar Town, The Middle, Castle, Grey's Anatomy, Private Practice.

sorry if this show has been mentioned but has anyone seen show called Louie? I saw a preview for it tonight and it had Ricky Gervais in it, thought it looked like it had potential. Apparently its about an American stand up comic (Louie) who is the only cast member in every show, with some recurring guest stars.

Anyone seen it? thought?

Louie is terrific. I think it's a must-watch. Be warned it's not a sitcom so much as a series of short vignettes with standup injected in between.

Reviews of this boxing show on FX make it seem good.

I kinda want it to suck 'cause I really have no interest in a boxing movie/show ever.

It would be justice for it to fall flat so they regret cancelling Terriers.

Knowing how the world works its probably gonna suck for anyone who doesnt like boxing and a lot that do but it will still kill the ratings and end up having like eleventy seasons.

Anyone have an opinion on Farscape? We've been looking at it on Netflix and going back on forth about whether to start it or not. Time is at a premium so I don't want to take it on if it's just middling.

I loved Firefly, TNG and didn't care enough about Babylon 5 or the Stargates to bother watching them if that helps.

The first season, when you watch it the second time, is better than the third season. And the fourth season, when you watch it the fifth time, is equal to the- you know what, never mind. I really, really like talking about Farscape. It's a really good show.

I rewatched Farscape last month funnily enough. Its a great show if your into sci fi. Give it a few eps, it gets a bit surreal here and there, esp around season 4, but it doesnt get bad and the consistency in quality is there from the start right through to the final scene in Peacekeeper Wars.

Its not the perfect TV show, but it has all the features of a perfect TV show. If you dont like it after ep three or four you probably wont like it after season three or four, whilst the show grows into its universe and story as a viewer you should get a very quick idea of whether the show is for you or not.

Does anyone watch Skins US? I thought I would see how they go as apparently it will follow the same storyline as the UK ones did.

After 10mins of the 1st ep I am thinking the main character is nothing like UK's Tony and a lot less likeable, but will see how the first ep goes. So far seems lol bad.

Was it worth it in the end?

Debating whether to watch it..

Some scenes were pretty hot, I laughed a few times even knowing the jokes from the first series of UK Skins. The Chris character is like something out of 'This is England' rather than UK Skins, but has some funny scenes.

I'll watch it for a bit to see how the plot goes because apparently although starting the same as the UK first season, the US version will then deviate from the original storyline and I'd be interested to see what the characters get up to in this parallel.

If you laughed at the old one I think you'll laugh at this one, beyond that so far I'm not loving it, but will keep watching.
