Dany/Tyrion getting completely destroyed by Cersei in this war would be kinda hilarious.

Reading predictions, there is literally zero percent chance any human character other than Sansa ends up on the Iron Throne

I much prefer Euron's gift be destruction of Dany's fleet over deus ex horn.

With only so much limited time in this series do we really need a 5 minute Eunich sex scene? Nakedness for the sake of nakedness seems stupid when there is so much story to cover.

seems like it would take ~15 hours to cut off all jorah's greyscale. i hope sam has 15 to spare.

i get that jorah can't scream because then someone would discover sam was trying to cure him. but someone might notice that all of jorah's skin is cut off.

Seemed like Euron got stabbed a few times when fighting the Sand Snakes. Does this mean he is now poisoned and will die soon unless Qyburn does some voodoo on him?

yep, this looks like it.

also, it turns out the solution to fighting dragons is to fire big weapons at them. genius! can't believe nobody thought of that before

it sort of looks like Dany is going to be in a holding pattern for now? she won't go North with Jon bc that means Dragons vs White Walkers happens soon.

I was really not into some of the direction in this episode and it turns out it's the same clown that directed the Arya vs T-1000 episode from last season. He's directing the next episode too. Blah

Somehow I am getting tired of the momentum shifts every episode. Its like you can almost foresee that something will happen shifting the momentum to the other side again.

So you have two fleets with hundreds of ships sailing in darkness and you still manage to get the ship with all important charakters on it. And gosh I hate people who survive injuries as if nothing happend. Kinda like the old horror movies where the villian just seems to be invincible.

GRRM needs to get his fkn book done.

What I dont understand why Jamie is so eager to help his sister again.

"Euron happens to find the right ship" is...meh. I'm ok suspending disbelief there. it's also possible he has a good idea which ship it is bc they are all Greyjoy ships.

It's night though, there's no way to tell which ship is which.

The entire scene was ridiculous. The fact that the scene could even happen because Dany splits up her armies and refuses to use her dragons is ridiculous.

The scene where Qyburn shows Cersei his plan to kill the dragons basically sums up the difference between the show and the books. In the books you have many theories as to how they can kill the dragons. Maester conspiracies, horns, etc. In the show it's just a big ****ing crossbow.
Game of Thrones Bookreader Thread: ***TV SPOILERS ITT*** Quote

yeah, the scene would have made more sense in the daytime, but then it doesn't look as cool and they need to write it differently (bc you can't just surprise somebody in the daytime).

so yeah, that's what's largely become of the show, it looks really cool just don't think about it too hard.

Is there a reason why Tarly and son are in KL besides that they have killed off everyone else last season? Makes no sense at all.

Also reminded me how tilted I was when Sam stole Heartsbane last season.

Where is Bronn btw?

As we saw with Bronn, they carry a vial of the antidote around their necks. So it depends on whether Euron is aware of that.

I imagine the weapons aren't always poisoned and given that it was a surprise attack they probably didn't prepare them.

I found it odd that tarly was in kl as well. Been way too much summoning people to kl and then taking a family member hostage to ensure the rest of the family does what the king wants for that.

Undoubtedly one of the things we will just have to turn our brain off for... these seem to be adding up.

wasn't that scene specifically about Cersei summoning all the Tyrell bannerman to fight for her instead?
Game of Thrones Bookreader Thread: ***TV SPOILERS ITT*** Quote
07-24-2017 , 11:25 AM
Yeah but why would anyone actually answer the summons when kl is about to get attacked by a very large army and 3 dragons (or at least they think this because it's what any sane invader would do)
Game of Thrones Bookreader Thread: ***TV SPOILERS ITT*** Quote

Anyone from that house answering a summons is completely unbelievable. Their king, prince and princess have just been blown up by Circe and yet they all gather in the castle (with their sons) when the Queen asks? Really hope the books will not be this lazy with motivations.

Qyburn digging into the archives to learn that dragons can be stabbed and that it hurts them was pretty funny. "What if, instead of stabbing them a little bit, you stabbed them...a lot?" *head exploding hand gesture*

God this show can combine amazing moments with absolutely godawful ones like no other.

Euron not only effortlessly finds Danys fleet but somehow no one notices a fleet of 1000 ships until he literally runs into Asha's ship. Uhhh, ok.

Euron gets stabbed multiple times, just walks it off, not the slightest harm done apparently. Poison should be an issue (at least tell us they didn't have time or something) but I'm 100% sure no one will ever mention it again.

Messandai/Grey Wurm scene seemed totally unnecessary. I have nothing against boobs, I'm strongly pro boob in fact but just a pointless sex scene.

Prince that was promised OOPS LOL JK IT IS ACTUALLY PRINCE AND/OR PRINCESS. Ohhhhhhhh my god are you ****ing kidding me. We've heard that phrase how many times but just now someone figures out the actual translation. Cute. And by cute I mean lazy and terrible.

That this was the same director that butchered Arya in Bravos doesn't surprise me, this guy is the absolute ****ing nut low.

I dislike the Missandei/Grey Worm romance because I don't think it will have much relevance to the plot. Those two characters are really just minor characters following Dany's story line. Jon's romance with Ygritte and Sam's with Gilly actually affect their decisions and plotlines. Maybe it would become important if Grey Worm disobeyed orders to protect Missandei instead or something. But I doubt that will happen.
