what? I was just saying we hadn't seen the hierarchical feudal aspect of the society that directly in awhile. People paying homage or serving their "lords" etc. You saw it a little with ramsay in winterfell but they kind of dismissed that anyway. Useful reminder that this is how the country still lives.

After reading the theories about the Mad King it was definitely crazy to see all the "BURN THEM ALL" flashbacks. Seems incredibly likely to be going that route now.

from what I understood, yeah, benjen was killed by a white walker and then ressurrected the same way they killed the walkers, with a dagger to the heart. so he's kind of a good walker, like alt shift x talked about? maybe I missed something since english isn't my native language and I couldn't hear 100% of that dialogue.
Seems like they are kind of merging the Coldhands character with Benjen in the show.

seems like marg sacrificed loras to free herself. I don't think she's been brainwashed at all.
Actually, I was think her ploy was to play nice with the Faith Militant to SAVE Loras, not sacrifice him. If that Walk of Atonement turned into a battle Loras would almost certainly be executed by the Faith. She managed to convince the very naive and impressionable Tommen to get on board with the Faith in order to create a bond between the crown and faith, rather than incite violence between them.

and just to be critical pretty lol that they roll up on the sparrows with a full army without doublechecking where KING TOMMEN is first. blitzkrieging with your own king wearing the other color is a pretty bad look

The whole King Tommen thing was just weird anyways. Like his mother has to be his biggest influence and she knows the high sparrow is trying to brainwash him, not sure she's the type to ignore that. Margary obviousy playing the high sparrow to save her brother.

Then again, who gives a **** about Tommen. I hope Jaime or Cersei kills him, that would be interesting.

I called it weeks ago, Jamie teaming up with Starks and brotherhood coming along too.

Wonder who Davos is talking to in the trailer, drumming up support for Jon/Sansa?

Fairly weak episode, too much time at Sams house and yawn KL. Can't wait till they kill Tommen, Sparrow turning on him after Cersei loses trial by combat rendering him illegitimate?

Hopefully they kill tommen and Jaime blames cersei for it?

Pretty underwhelming episode. Can't be worst of the season since there was no Dorne.

Really liked seeing Walder again.

Lol at Sam stealing the sword, as if his father doesn't exactly know where he's headed.

Jamie will meet Brienne, and like join forces with his army to take back Winterfell. I really like where the story lines are leading. No LSH pls

benjen is such a badass.

he's like the jason bourne of westeros.

just chilling by himself beyond the wall killing wights like it ain't no thing.
dunno why that lil scene made me so happy.

oh also I really hope we get some more extended scenes of the mad king.

Sooo, Head of the Kingsguard has no idea where the King is?
Oh he's hanging with the high sparrow when we go to kill him.
Oops.

Interesting turn with Arya at least. No faceless man for her.

I think this could be different in the books. Leaf said he was killed "long ago" which would be a weird way to describe it if it was Benjen. Could be though

In the show it played out differently

pretty dull episode imo. High sparrow is outplaying idiots who are left in KL, Tommen is still a pussy and stupid, Arya is still Arya, Jamie and Cersei prolly not gonna see each other ever again once he leaves, Sam scenes didnt make any sense unless his father is gonna become a major player in the show, Benjen will have a minor role as Coldhands. Mad King stuff may become interesting however. Dany scene was aids.

KL stuff was awful. I know they showed a few scenes with Tommen and the High Sparrow having talks, but this change was way too dramatic. Oh and everything else was stupid.

Dany... lol

Arya finally going somewhere

Benjen kinda cool

Yay for more Walder and Edmure. I like both those characters a lot. I really hope Edmure gets a chance to redeem himself, kid got dealt a **** hand by Robb and Blackfish.

I thought stuff just happens and no one is responsible for anything. No idea what is going on with Bran.

Even if they go that route in the show, I don't see how that's possible in the books. It's been dropped in the show, but can't Bran only see stuff that happens near a heart tree?

I think now that he's the actual 3 eyed raven he can see stuff at will?

Does BR have that ability in the books? I thought he was just an expert at using the trees.

Concerning the mad king:
Maybe we are finally going to see the scene where Rickard and Brandon Stark got killed that was cut from Season 1.

Hmm I actually think I liked that episode overall, but it was super weird, I liked the stuff I normally hate, and hated the stuff I normally like.

Arya scene was wtf horrible. Not the worst of the show in terms of watchability, but possibly the worst in terms of overall meaning.

WHAT WAS THE POINT OF THE LAST TWO SEASONS OF ARYA? **** just utterly pointless. I hold out slim hope, but it feels like that whole storyline just fell completely flat.

Samwell was good, liked Randyll he was pretty funny. Didn't like Sam stealing the sword as its really sigh on many levels.

Dany was.... for the first time in seasons... and for reasons I can't really explain well... was good. I don't know why but I liked it. I enjoyed the conqueror bit a lot, it made me see Dany in a different light. She isn't a ruler, she has totally failed at that multiple times, she isn't a leader, or a hero, she is a conqueror and a warrior in a time those skills are valued and needed.

Bran scenes were great and marked out hard for mad king.

KL was also good, its fun trying to work out where everyone actually stands. I think it's deliberately ambiguous, but Margaery is still Margaery, Tommen just wants his queen, and who ****ing knows what Loras is.

Tbh I liked much of it, but Arya was so bad it killed a lot of my good will.

Oh I've just remembered the other thing that tilted the **** out of me was Walder Frey. Isn't he supposed to be content as the road block? Doesn't his whole family revolve around holding the twins? Why does he give a **** about Riverrun? Did I miss that part of the books? Totally senseless and ruins his character.
