There's all the fire stuff with Dany in S1 but was there anything about only Targaryens being able to control dragons?
In the book she can launch an attack of her dragons by saying a special word.

My friend is somewhere in book 4 and id bet £50 that if i texted him he wouldnt guess that and he has a lot more info to work from than the show which not only has less detail but it also has basically solved itself in season one with Ned talking to Robert about Wylla mother to Jon and giving no reason to think otherwise.

I mean the funny thing is its not confirmed in any direction and its not even clear how we could ever find out yet but to guess the leading theory on virtually no basis is so lol.
In the 5th book is another hint who probably is Jon's mother.

Must be some English pronounciation. I also read it as Ty-rell. Same as Ty-rion, but they keep saying tier-rion.

Many book readers don't even make this guess, and I think literally 99% of show watchers couldn't tell you who both Rhaegar and Lyanna were, let along make insane assumptions about their children.

It would be as outlandish as guessing that some of Rhaegar's other children were still alive.

most of the points he brings up aren't even discussed by the other show watchers because they come out of no where.

Not really anything to do, but if he ever slips up then IP ban him for life IMO.

She is fierce when she needs to be, and cowed when appropriate, but I never felt--like you so often feel when watching child actors--that I was watching a kid recite their lines.

Even a little thing like reciting the names on her hit list could have descended into an over-dramatic, eye-of-the-tiger moment, but was very well done. Director gets a huge amount of credit, as well.
Completely agree. She is absolutely phenomenal. Since my first S1 rewatch she has probably been my favorite character. I'm so glad she's getting an appropriate amount of screen time this season.

lol this. get him out of there.
also lol this. The guy has never read the books, yet he calls GRRM "a great writer" and has endless amounts of "speculation" on future events or fan-consensus speculation? Come on.

Which hint are you referring to?

That happens after the burning of the House of the Undying doesnt it? With that being the first time Drogo (or any of the three dragons) spits fire iirc.

Don't remember exactly the details but doesn't crows eye have some instrument to take over a dragon? The dragons are tied to dany, right?

Re: Game of Thrones - BOOK SPOILERS ALLOWED

I was talking about the show specifically. I think it's pretty clear the reason the 13 spared Dany was because she's the last Targaryen. I mean, is there any doubt of that?

yeah it's a dragon horn, that is supposed to bind dragons to you. But anyone who blows it dies iirc, so you have to have someone else sound it for you

Also, Dany doesn't exactly control her dragons. She trained them in book 2/3 to not breathe fire unless she said "dracarys" which means freedom in valyrian i think.

Heh, I did too (pronounce it Tier-ion), but never did the same to Ty-rell. Doesn't flow as well, but I guess it makes sense to do them the same, then again, I'm no Seven Kingdoms linguist. Maybe they have some "Ty pronounced tier except in front of -rell" rule.

Yup, I think we've figured it out now.

The first chapter for Davos where is at Sisterton and speaks to Lord Godric. The passage is near the end of the chapter.

"Ned Stark was here?"
"At the dawn of Roberts rebellion. The Mad King had sent to the Eyrie for Stark's head, but Jon Arryn sent him back defiance. Gulltown stayed loyal to the throne, though. To get home and call his banners, Stark had to cross the mountains to the Fingers and find a fisherman to carry him across the Bite. A storm caught them on the way. The fisherman drowned but his daughter got Stark to the Sisters before the boat went down. They say he left her with a bag of silver and a bastard in her belly. Jon Snow, she named him, after Arryn."
