Ha, by the look of it we could take the thread to PM then.

Unless it stops being unintentionally hilarious I will stick by the show. Basically like I did for Walking Dead when it went from bad to really bad.

Is Kevin Bacon sick? His face looks unnaturally thin.

It really is a shame that a decent concept , good acting and production values are just wasted with lazy writing.

I'm guessing Kevin Bacon might not have read scripts up till EP. 6 before taking on the job , what as waste of talent.

IDK, it was just weird. She knew EVERYTHING about the house/location and all that. Even when the young FBI agent ( name escaping me) was getting the email and he was like 'oh it's blocked' she was like 'theyre bouncing the wifi off a firewall!' how does a small time county cop know that? and when they are off going she was so quick to go. after she was looking nervous? come on writers.

i agree that the concept is awesome, and some actors (joe, ryan, emma, even the gay guy who never killed) is pretty good. i think joey is alright for a kid actor. the wife is bad, the angry gay guy is bad, i hate the female fbi agent.

Glad most of the complainers are gonna stop watching so they'll stop complaining ITT

I also thought it was very obvious the deputy was going to be a follower. Her intro to the show just made it so totally obvious, to me. Those who are still watching should really pay attention better, because this show has about the most ham fisted foreshadowing I've ever seen. They are literally cluing you into every single thing you need to know. I think they think the audience is really dumb, but likes to show those who aren't that you can be a step ahead of the show. I also thought the whole part with the computer guy was just for pure "show". When he knocked the folder out of her hand, he intended it to fall on the floor (the whole time he was on screen was just a terrible acting performance of trying to get her to do certain things, I thought, and there's no way that guy is a bad actor). I almost feel like this show is just meant to be some kind of weird performance art for the followers as each performs their "chapter".

While the episode wasn't good, and lolunbelievable (the police work is about the worst in the history of television), I thought it was very entertaining. Bacon was great messing with everyone. His comment about how no one was in charge was pretty hilarious.

I'm fairly convinced this show is supposed to be a parody (only half joking), because there's just too much funny stuff for me to take it seriously. I think it's like a parody of old horror novels, and the fact that Carroll keeps talking about stuff like "this is the next part of the story" just cracks me up.

To whoever it was who recommended Cult over this...wat? Cult's Pilot was terrible, and I couldn't invest in it at all. The show within the show was ridiculously poorly acted, and the show outside the show wasn't that much better. There's just no way I could invest in a show like that.

Bacon was sort of killing it there for a stretch during that episode I thought. Most are pulling chute but I'm going to stick with it. Not a lot that interests me show wise on that day so might as well see where the ridiculousness goes.

So, of course I didn't stop watching. I'd like to chalk that up to wanting to know what they were planning after the insane BS last week. But I know damn good and well that it's because I just can't help myself.

Anyways, this was just as dumb but without any of the craziness that the last episode had. In fact, a bit more dumb, but not saved for the last 1/3. Just equally sprinkled throughout the entire episode. And that ending looks they're planning for a LONG show. An aspect of it is intriguing, but more in car-crash way. I'm for sure out now.

Only not really even a little bit.

By my count, that's the 7th episode in a row in which Kevin Bake was held at gunpoint and escaped.

Anyone have any guesses as to joes end game? Also, I'm not sure what to think about his feelings towards his own son. When I 1st saw the scene in which they were teaching his kid about killing I thought he wanted him to grow up something like himself. But Joe Is a smart thinking killer and exposing his kid to that at such a young age would create a psycho with no reason behind his kills. For this reason I think we might see him end up killing or trying to kill the kid to get at Ryan. What do others think, is Joe's only goal to destroy Ryan and leave his wife/son alive. Or is it to destroy Ryan with his last act killing the wife and or kid in front of him? 2nd question is what do we think of the brunette FBI agent with the parents in the cult. Is she or isn't he on Joe's team.

8 episodes left

It didn't say for this season so maybe they will leave it as a one season thing instead of pulling a prison break?

Overall I like the series, but gotta agree that last weeks episode was ridiculous.

Even the guy who got ****in stabbed escaped, couldve made it more interesting with some sort of tunnel or whatever the **** but simply just escaping ... there shouldve been like a thousand cops and X helicopters.

Having a serial killer army must be so badass.

Its funny how they started with "the FBI estimates there are 100 serial killers at large in America" and then we find out 1/3rd of them all live in some big ass house somewhere like the best season of Big Brother ever.

This show is so ****ing stupid but I can't stop watching.

I was glad to see the nanny chick get slapped around. I almost stood up and cheered out loud.

An interesting story line would be to explain how all these people came under Joe's control. The lawyer and warden was just by threat but I'd like to know about the others, especially those who never met him before.

Also, show needs more Ryan as torturer.

Yea I agree with Cardfish. They showed some shots of discussions between fanatics and Joe but I would love to see more of that, see how he brought them in, their initiation etc (there were a few scenes about that early on but not for a few episodes).

Also, kinda boring to see people ITT complain that Bacon isn't dead yet and keeps "escaping". He's not escaping, they let him go on purpose, he's the end game. They are "writting a book together" and he is the "last chapter". Ofc they won't kill him, especially not random minions.

The escape was soooo stupid though. Super high security prisoner and they aren't even capable of putting him in a ***** van. C'mon.

End of the episode was intruiging. I still like the idea of the show, shame that some parts are just a bit too stupid for it to completely work.
