It might indeed turn out better than The Walking Dead.......in a getting stabbed in the leg is better than getting stabbed in the groin kind of way.

This is the prequel to the walking dead, set in Los Angeles. I think it follows a new group of characters during the beginning stages of the outbreak, when humanity was still intact. So at the very least I dont think we will see this group sitting at a barn for a whole season. I think it could be really good if they had a large budget, however, I doubt that is the case, and it will probably fizzle out after a couple seasons.

I wonder what their plans are with respect to the timeline. I won't say what the trailer showed so as not to spoil, but surely they want to be prepared to milk this as long as WD, so how does that translate to what they do with the outbreak? On the one hand, if they stretch things out too long people are bound to get frustrated, yet on the other if they rush the pacing too much then they're left with a West Coast Walking Dead. Thoughts?

They should rush it, and have the West Coast Walking dead meet up with Rick and his gang from the east coast. And for the finale of both series have one big shootout, battle royale style.

IMO, the title of the show alone shows they didn't put much thought into it. I may or may not watch depending on peoples reviews here.

Fear TWD looks like a rough draft title that they never changed.

Title is still more creative than The Walking Dead Spinoff. This should still debut 5.0+ in the 18-49 demo.

I think I'm going to try an experiment with this one. I'll watch only the first and last episode.

I'm willing to bet it will be a much more enjoyable experience then watching each week and I doubt I'll miss much.

I think this will be really good. The only thing I can see ruining this is if there are any unlikable characters. For example, the kid that runs away from his parents when there's clearly danger all around him, gets himself into trouble and we then have to have a hero dad moment.

Low Winter Sun, The Killing season 2, The Walking Dead itself, Humans was pretty boring but I didn't give it a real chance...

AMC's Obama administration track record is pretty spotty, Mad Men and Breaking Bad came out a long time ago before the network got cheap.
