I'm confused. I've gotten really into Sherlock Holmes BECAUSE of RDJ's portrayal of the character; I thought those movies were great. Ever since viewing those I've wanted more of the character. So, I recently started reading Arthur Conan Doyle's books and was intrigued when I first heard of this show.
I was really skeptical going in with the radical changes - modern day, NY and a female Watson. I def like the show though, probably just because I really enjoy Sherlock Holmes as it turns out.
So, I'm glad I viewed this thread because now I'll be checking out 'Sherlock'; I'm sure that'll be solid, too. I don't think RDJ can be beat, but I'll soon have two others to compare him to.

omg, I can't believe there's someone else out there that liked that show! I'm happy to hear that as I loved Eli Stone. I think I'm gonna have to go rewatch for the first time. It's too bad there weren't more episodes of that. It seems like Miller's new show will be around for a good while at least.
