Now that the top 24 is set, I figured it was time for a thread.

So far, there have been some really great singers. I don't know if it's going to be like usual, and that they will all wilt under the live cameras, but damn...I've been really impressed with at least 10 of the top 24.

My pick is the young black girl with the fro and who was homeless when she was young...Tyanna. Incredible voice.

Meh, I think the field is actually kind of weak in terms of having truly, truly great potential superstars. The average might be fine, but there's no one really sticking out from the pack too much. I guess I'm rooting for the science geek guy.

Hollywood Anderson failing at bootcamp was a disappointment, he was by far my favorite from the auditions.

I thought going through the auditions it was a talented group, but there were a lot of weak singers that made the top 24, especially on the girls side. I too think Tyanna is the front runner at this point. Because of LOL Country, Riley Bria will be a contender. Quentin Alexander is one of my favorites, but overall, it looks like a weak group.

I like Tyanna a lot, and also Joey (the accordion girl), but I don't think either has a chance to win.

My pick for the winner is Clark Beckham. He's got the right demographics -- Southern white male and the ladies seem to dig him. Plus he's actually pretty talented (not that that matters a whole lot).

I'm also on the Tyanna train, though I think she's too good to win. She feels like a more unique, Janelle Monae type talent than someone who is going to get all the necessary stupid tween votes. Which reminds me that my pick to win is that high school boy with the giant glasses.

The guy who kinda looks like Ryan Gosling has a good shot

So the top 12 boys sang tonight...

Rayvon, Qaasim, Riley, Quentin, Clark, Mark, and Savion did pretty good. The others not so much.

But the one who was head and shoulders above everyone was Nick I think he should be a lock for the top 10.

I thought the guys were pretty strong overall. Quentin was my favorite.

I came to look for this thread based on this guy.

Quentin and Qaasim the only ones who are gonna be remembered imo

The rest were boring as hell. Horrible song choices. I'm gonna watch the ladies, but if they're at the same level I'm not watching anymore of this season.

The girls were terrible for the most part. Jax was the best followed by Tyanna, the rest ranged from weak to awful. They should just keep all 12 guys and kick off 6 girls.

Yeah, that was disappointing.

lovey - good but not great
adanna - weird song but did it ok
alexis - ok
joey - really hate her
katherine - stage was too big for her, flat
shannon - scared...good voice, tho...nerves got the best of her
loren - horrible song...good voice, tho
shi - i liked her before, that was awful
maddie - decent

The last three were so far ahead of the rest, that it's crazy:

sarina - obviously the best...by a wide margin
jax - fantastic and great song choice
tyanna - good...better than the others but not quite as good as Sarina and Jax.

Lovey - decent, at least did a few interesting things with her voice

Adanna - HATED the arrangement

Alexis - meh, but country isn't my genre, especially not when it just seems like everything else country

Joey - boring, she looks like an artist, but really she just feels like an ordinary singer trying to be quirky

Katherine - decent, but I do also love this song

Shannon - hot, but borefest

Loren - she sang well, but just not for me, horrible song choice

Shi - wow, what a mess

Maddie - same as with Alexis... like why do they sing songs with no build up to anything or with no moments or anything

Sarina-Joi - first one to get through a song with no issues and without destroying the melody or anything, her x factor value seems low, but the performance was good

Jax - by faaaaaar the best one, the x factor value is high and this performance was the only one that really ENGAGED me

Tyanna - it's always difficult to assess a performance when I don't know the song (or like it), but she sang well and has x factor value

Wow wtf tyanna was terrible. She can hit notes but the singing was not appealing. It's like giving props to a synthol user for being swole.

im also probably the only one who loved shannon's performance. sounded pretty good(i dont know the original song)

I'd say you're the only one who feels that way. Tyanna had a nice ease to her voice. Last three singers far above what came before.

Jax is on another level than the rest of the girls. I was confused about the judges comments as well. Yes, that was the dress.

Had is the only girl who might do something in the biz.
