Late to the party with last weeks ep but lol @ just waving Sonic Screwdriver and fixing all problems.

Hoping for some business to go down this ep.

Perfect episode. Perfect end to the Amy and Rory story. Even got a little tear of happiness/sadness at the jump off the roof and the final closing Amy monologue recounting her story.

Yeah, that episode was brilliant and cemented Matt Smith as my favourite Doctor.

Great, great episode. Sad to see The Ponds go, but at least they go out with an amazing episode.

I don't think they were prisoners of the angels. That place was destroyed by the paradox.

No, the place was remade after they were captured as the angel in the graveyard undid the paradox.

They ended up together in that room until they died.

Edit, that is my interpretation anyway which is a variation on the bittersweet romantic tragedies. There is another interpretation that they are sent back in time together to a different point in space and time. The reality is it didnt matter where and when they ended up, just that they ended up together.

That isnt a spoiler. Stop writing non-spoilers in spoiler tags, it undermines the entire point of them.

I disagree and will err on the side of caution. Some people might not have seen it yet and don't know the entire cast.

They must have ended up back in the room in order for River to find them, otherwise where would she look given they could effectively be anywhere in space and time.

Great episode! I guess I wasn't paying enough attention because I was surprised at only a 5 episode "season"

So River finds them, in the room, gives Amy the book to publish and... Amy just stays in the room, not moving, and the book never gets published?

River has her wrist-teleporter and her funny looking tablet that she demonstrated this very episode could find where and when someone was. Pretty easy for her to find them.

They're definitely not in the room that doesn't exist anymore at Winter Quay.

River has shown no ability to track people across space and time, just within the same time period and location. If they werent in that place in space and time then River wouldnt need her wrist device, she could "track them down" with the tablet device as you claim and then they could just fly there with the TARDIS. There is a reason the dialogue specified the Doctor couldnt travel back to that specific time and place. He also talked about how they would need to keep running because the paradox would poison the well and the angels would hunt Rory down forever because of it.

I'll give the episode a rewatch later to be sure but on first blush I am convinced they end up resetting the paradox and ending up back in Winter Quays which is re-created when they are able to capture Rory.

Pretty sure you're wrong on that one Phil. If not i'm choosing to believe the alternative.

If they arent in Winter Quay they are definitely in the same time and space of New York that the episode took part in.

They lived out their lives somewhere in NYC and River read their obituary to find out where they lived in NYC.

A final scene for Rory's dad that was never shot, that indicates that they were just stuck rather than locked away by angles again.
