only gripe I wish it came on earlier than 11 pm on Weds nights. Am I missing something, online, on demand, etc? I usually have to wait until Thursday at earliest to watch.

I don't know about what Sundance is allowed to show but I assumed it's 11pm because of the nudity.

i recommend this show. it seems to me to really feel like the 80s in germany, not that i know what the hell i'm talking about. but it's cool, very well done.

the subtitles are a little fast for me. i wish i spoke german. but the show is still great to watch.

Just watched e3. Did I miss something? When the guy ran over the girl on the road in the woods; how did he know where they were?

Great show, but that was def a plot leak...way too much of a coincidence, the East German case officer was on his way to kill her but how could he speeding down the road tell it was her being chased by him

Wasn't that ep 4? Either way that was the darkest episode so far.

I grew up in Germany in the 80s, and also visited the GDR several times during that period, and can confirm it's pretty authentic, e.g. the peace movement stuff and the fear of nuclear warfare.

Nice to see so many people like it even if they need the subtitles. Muricans should really do more dubbing; for some shows re-shooting them is not really an option.

Love this show, the look, the music, etc. Plus the time period and the subject matter.

Ep 4 made me realize it's going to get pretty soap opera-y and the plots could get ridic but whatever I'm fine with that .... how many women is Martin going to slay?

I just watched the first episode and I'm in. I love the Americans too. In the Cold War Berlin and Vienna were probably the two most spy laden cities in the world. Where do you think those are today?

My favorite new show on tv right now, I'm 3 episodes in. A little thing I liked a lot on episode 3 was how the East German guys were trying to figure out the computer disk, really subtle comedy and handled perfectly. Also the sense of freedom the main kid got from the Walkman.

Still Berlin? That's surprising. It's not really the frontline it was then.

I liked the swimming scene where Martin was deciding whether to save the girl or let her drown. I'm wondering if his character will develop to the point where it's not a hard decision.

Loved the train stuff in ep. 5. I crossed the iron curtain by train several times, almost forgot about the small hung-by-the-neck office suitcases lol. GDR customs were no joke, the trains going out were thoroughly searched for fugitives with dogs.

I can't find episode 5 from any of my usual sources. Usually Chinese streaming video services are pretty on the ball. God bless China's disregard for intellectual property laws.

I loved the tie-in with the real attack by Carlos the jackal. It's crazy to think that carbombing and stuff were happening with more regularity across Europe then than now.

I'm really loving this. The scene with the car in the forest made no sense though.

I cant wait for it to continue.

Well, the communist terrorists never succeeded in killing as many as thelondon/Madrid bombing or 9/11 did they?

I assumed that Tibscher (or whatever) was driving to the base and the forest was in the way so he took the opportunity.
