USA is a cable network, but glad someone else is watching Queen of the South. I'm also a pretty big fan of that show. If you didn't know already, it has been renewed for season 2.

I consider it almost a perfect cross of Madam Secretary and Homeland. Right now it's heavily leaning toward Homeland, and is beginning to be just pure stupid insanity. But at least he fired that General.
To whoever mentioned the whole President's son recital thing, one of the Executive Producers/Writers on this show is the creator of a show called Tru Calling. It had a very effective episode that was almost entirely dedicated to an estranged father/son relationship that wasn't at all what it appeared to be. In that episode, the father essentially didn't want his son to become an artist, and they parted ways. The guy eventually went to his dead father's house, and saw that his father owned a bunch of his paintings. So it didn't surprise me to see something like that put in this show.
This show has a very interesting premise, but it's managed to miss almost all about it that's interesting. I blame ABC for that, because it's ABC.
