Seems to be going for the slow burn after a Big Bang start. Ok if the payoff is good.

Maggie Q gonna figure it out.

How could a show with the premise be so pedestrian and boring?
Designated Survivor Quote
10-27-2016 , 07:17 AM
So it's just Homeland now

Show kinda sucks eggs.

More Natasha please.

Spoiler:
wtf storyline that she was some kind of hippie deadhead who had sexy time with her acid dealing bf who got 20 years but is actually the father of the drug-dealing teenage punk? Obviously now POTUS will pardon the bf and then hopefully reveal his secret undercover CTU mission and torture the bf until he admits that he is not the father.

Also, when will the POTUS reveal his secret CTU training and start torturing the two remaining congress members.

Father of the child will obviously be Hank Moody.

Would improve show dramatically if this was the case. He can be appointed special consultant in charge of general mayhem.

Only if it was Hank from Season 1 to 4.

The shows fine. A little too family though. Needs more 24 style edge.

The guy dying protecting the children was just a bit over the top. People die in battle. Deal with it Mr President.

I thought the last few weeks without the children was a good direction for the show, but it looks like they may be back in it shortly. Don't hate the "is he the father" story though. Maybe it won't include the kids too much, just the parents.

The FBI not looking into people who had been renovating the building seemed very strange to me (she was doing it on her own it seemed). Looking into strangers in the building in the time leading up to the explosion would seem like an obvious thing to do. Especially for what looked like a multiple explosions.

And the Dammit was awesome...

So the mole is going to be the VP ? And then the bitchy congresswoman is going to somehow align with Bauer to take him down? Where are all the cool secret service dudes that we saw in the first couple episodes?

President is obviously the mole.

Got pissed off for getting fired, so aligned himself with some terrorist group and blew everyone up.

Hated how Kirkman returned the SEAL's salute. That was out of character, Kirkman would have nodded respectfully.

i'm enjoying this, hope this son business wont take up too much time. Has a very 24 feeling to me, expecting to see multiple levels of bad guys and conspiracies revealed one after another.

In every scene where he has an important decision to make, and he pauses, I say "I'll tell you after the commercial"...and boom...black.

USA is a cable network, but glad someone else is watching Queen of the South. I'm also a pretty big fan of that show. If you didn't know already, it has been renewed for season 2.

I consider it almost a perfect cross of Madam Secretary and Homeland. Right now it's heavily leaning toward Homeland, and is beginning to be just pure stupid insanity. But at least he fired that General.

To whoever mentioned the whole President's son recital thing, one of the Executive Producers/Writers on this show is the creator of a show called Tru Calling. It had a very effective episode that was almost entirely dedicated to an estranged father/son relationship that wasn't at all what it appeared to be. In that episode, the father essentially didn't want his son to become an artist, and they parted ways. The guy eventually went to his dead father's house, and saw that his father owned a bunch of his paintings. So it didn't surprise me to see something like that put in this show.

This show has a very interesting premise, but it's managed to miss almost all about it that's interesting. I blame ABC for that, because it's ABC.

This show is ****ing horrendous and they should pull the plug now.

They've even made Kal Penn suck.

The FBI agent character is the worst. Makes a big speech that she's 'needed here' at the capital when her boss tells her to go back to the office then just stands around doing nothing. Also then puts on bitchy face when her boss doesn't give her 'theory' to Bauer despite her not moving a muscle to try and find a shred of proof. At least now she's getting off her ass and speaking to people.

Bauer is a terrible actor always has been.

The scene where they homage the west wing walking through the White House really tilted me too. You really don't want to hold yourself up to that show my friends.

Senator stealing the obit was another hamfest as was bauers interaction with the old presidents son after.

I'm still enjoying this show, but unfortunately some super predictable stuff that was really annoying.

"Hi Mr Body Guard. We don't usually talk about random stuff, but what are you up to after work? .... Really.. spending time with your kid sounds super cool". Man are you going to be shot/killed in one of the next scenes.

Random suss looking guy walking around ready to feed the prisoner. Oh no prisoner is going to have to wait for his food now Mr and Mrs FBI are hear to talk and try and get a confession. Hope he enjoys his yummy food afterwards...
