Here's hoping that iron fist has the smallest role in the group.

Other 3 were all ok to great. Iron Fist, I couldn't make it through the season.

Fingers crossed it's a Hangover-style season, where Iron Fist gets captured in the first episode, and the rest of the season is the others trying to find and rescue him (or not).

Yeah I agree that Iron Fist was badly written but it had some pretty fun episodes. Cage was plain boring most of the time.

It's on Netflix already.
Watched the first 3 eps and had to skip some parts. sooo boring. on the 4th ep right now and it's paying off.

First two episodes were bad but mildly optimistic it'll improve.

Eh.. I liked daredevil (first eps of season 2 with the punisher were fantastic)
But JJ was mediocre, never finished Luke Cage and didnt even bother with Iron fist.

I hate to be negative immediately (I'm literally ten minutes into the first ep) but as always with Marvel, the dialogue is so on the nose that it's like you're being punched.

First episode was bad. The opening (and only) action sequence was incomprehensible - poorly lit, shot too close in, and badly edited. Dialogue throughout had Marvel's usual sledgehammer-like nuance. There was no need for the ep to be 50 minutes long. Hope it gets better.

havent watched Iron Fist

its annoying when we get told that these guys are the biggest and badest badguys in world but in the show they look like weaklings. I mean the asian guy is supposed to be the scariest guy in the world. So far in s1 and 2 of DD we have only seen his apprentice now the master ninja is here, whenever he steps out of the shadows destruction follows. Then in the show he gets slapped unconcious by Elektra, runs away from fights and gets pushed of an elevator by Luke Cage and dies.

Marvel Netflix is stale. This feels cheap as hell so far. I'm 5 episodes in and I can not care less about a thing. Thank God this is only 8 episodes.

Imo, Daredevil was good. It had the benefit of being first, Charlie Cox is good and D'nofrio was really good. There was plenty bad, but I overlooked it.

Jessica Jones was solid, b/c David Tennant was great - best character in the entire "universe" so far imo. Ritter is fine.

Luke Cage was really good for like 8 episodes, they fell off a cliff. Again, Merhershala Ali was good. Whatsherface was strong too(Alfrie Woodard?) Diamondback was ridiculous.

DD2 was like 25% good. Punisher was solid, Elektra was terrible, and all the ninja crap that has taken over was bad from day 1.

Iron Fist was obviously bad. Probably not AS bad as people seem to thing, but it was really poorly executed. the friggin guy's fist was used like 4 times, and we never saw the mystical mountain place he came from. Plus we've heard all about how Finn Jones trained for like a day and it showed.

Now this, which has kinda sucked for 5 episodes.

I'm about done with this. they need a format change. All seasons from now on need to be 8 episodes. They've all been too long. Even this short one feels too long already. They need new characters. Not really excited about Punisher to be honest. I want some characters they have to spend a little bit of money to make look cool. I've seen enough hand to hand fighting to last a lifetime. The only good fight scenes in any of these shows take place in hallways.

oh and on top of everything else, the lack of connection to the movie universe pisses me off. They could so easily just weave these together. Talking about "the incident" a couple times isn't enough. Just show the damn Avengers tower once or twice, boom, thanks.

Yeah I really want to like this but I really couldn't care less about The Hand. The villains like Kingpin and Purple Man were so much better and more dynamic than anything since then. I really hope Elektra is gone for good but that is doubtful. I think there were some good things in this season but also some dumb things like when Danny didn't understand why he needed to stay hidden for a bit. I feel like they just wanted a fight between him and Daredevil so forced that a bit. I really hope we don't get more individual seasons for all of them now that they've teamed up. At least pair up Luke and Danny so I don't have to watch 20+ hours of bad writing and martial arts.

I can't stand elektra's emotionless face and skip all her scenes.

We have daredevil season 3 soon and jessica J soon as well.
I ll be shocked if they do a new season of iron fist considering how horrible S1 was and how he was a huge problem of defenders.

What made kingpin and purple man work on screen was the lack of budget required to make them work. The hand would require a ****load of stunt work and special effect that i dont think they could afford to make it work.

daredevil had a much better group dynamic than defenders, the lawyer team was awesome and felt super organic, defenders never really click apart from saving the ****** karatekid.

At least they can cast a new iron fist to make us forget of the "worst iron fist".

I'm 5 episodes in and this is pretty meh. First couple of episodes were just boring. I think a part of that is that the villain/threat isn't all that compelling. Season 1 of Jessica Jones had by far the best villain.

agreed. this was meh. also i got feeling that if someone took a machine gun and just managed to not shoot directly at luke cage the defenders wouldve been down to 1 guy real quick.

The antagonists on this were so bad. One worse than the previous one. So sick of madam Gao. The Hand sucks. Elektra is really bad. That dude Basura or whatever is one of the WOAT, period. And Sigourney weaver was a snoozefest.

yeah I'd trade them all for killgrave.

Killgrave is the MVP of the Marvel Netflix universe so far, imo.

Defenders was like a 5/10. it had shining moments, but it was mostly just banter among the members. no one scene from the entire series stuck out for me.

Got through E04 and looking for a reason to continue. Looks like I have my answer. Nope.
