If I think Arrow is one of the worst shows on TV (watched a couple eps and hated it, felt like I needed to be 12 to enjoy it), is there a chance I'd like this? Also tried the marvel show and think it's awful.
His red suit looks fine but the headpiece is pretty bad. It almost doesn't look like the same actor when he is wearing it, I think it is because of the cheek parts changing the look of his jawline or something.
Given how good Daredevil is I'm looking forward to the other Marvel/Netflix series even more now.
Daredevil is pretty good, definitely of the quality Netflix has established for itself. But four episodes in and I'm stunned by how bored I am. Might not finish the rest. This must be what it's like for House of Cards haters.
I do enjoy the fight scenes. Daredevil has no super powers (ykwim), so when he's in trouble, he has no choice but to beat the **** out of his opponents. Break their bones, smash their faces in. The violence is brutal.

Show is almost HBO quality. The biggest complaint I have with it is the gratuitous violence. A lot of scenes are plenty violent and gory enough and then they randomly take it up to the next level in a way that doesn't add anything. It certainly doesn't have the insane campiness that makes Arrow Arrow though.
I watched the whole season. It is well cast and sets up nicely for future seasons. Definitely better than SHIELD or Agent Carter. I wonder why they made it to network and this didn't? Maybe too dark for prime time?
I think it's unfair to compare this to Arrow. I like both shows. However, Arrow has been a vehicle to expand the DC universe on TV and spin off new shows.
While Daredevil will likely be part of The Defenders series, he's really all about Hell's Kitchen and little else. There was barely a mention of any other Marvel characters in the whole season.
I wonder what the plans are wrt future seasons of Daredevil. They still have the three other shows to do, plus the Defenders mini-series, so I expect it will be a few years before we get Daredevil S2.
Watched the whole series and loved it. Interesting twists and sub-plots for future seasons. My only issue has been Vincent D's acting. Seems slightly forced, maybe that's from binge-watching.
I thought D'Onofrio did a superb job as Kingpin, but I'm kind of sad they already locked him up because he is such a major villain. Obviously he won't be incarcerated forever, but I imagine someone else will be the major villain in S2.

This show is unbelievably good. As in I do not believe it. Heh.
It's the best adaptation of a superhero source that I have ever seen, and I don't mean on TV only. And I've only seen the first 3 episodes. The show is better than any of the Nolan Batman flicks, better than any X-Men movies, and anything Marvel has done. I doubt I've even seen the best episodes. Mind blown.
