Curb Your Enthusiasm: Season 8 Curb Your Enthusiasm: Season 8

Yeah I agree I've been following the seasons and I used to like the show but not as much as the vast majority of hardcore fans.

Now I just see him on the screen and I start smiling and I'm ready to laugh.

Exactly. I said that in this thread last week and it's because I'd recently re-watched old seasons as TVGuide Network was airing them. It's a stark contrast between how bad of a comic actor he was in the first couple seasons and how strong he is now. No big surprise, though, David is too smart a person not to learn how to excel at whatever he's doing given the time and motivation.

fav part was how he approached ron's wife after she said "it's cute right?"

Yeah I also laughed non-stop through this. I love how ridiculously Jewish the show has been the last few weeks. I also hope that they keep going with the LD as social assassin stuff, the scene with Sammie where he's parodying gangster films was hilarious. I have a feeling that'll be a running thing this season.

So many great lines. I think "you're Kofaxing us?" got the biggest lol, but also loved:

“The penis doesn’t care about race, creed or color. The penis wants to get to its homeland.”

“if Rabin can break bread with Arafat, I can have chicken at this anti-Semitic ****hole.”

Pretty much every line in the sex scene.

This show is really on a totally different level from other comedies when everything hits in an episode like this imo.

A+++ episode. Arguably my favorite of all time. Ending @ the golf course was the only thing slightly dissatisfying, but even that had many LOLz

This line was great, Funkhouser has been crushing this season so far. Overall fantastic episode, hopefully this level of funny will be maintained throughout the season.

It's like he's acting without acting.

Larry's social assassin role reminded me of Kramer's "you just need a nose job" line.

And yeah, shows aren't supposed to be this good in season 8.

I also loved how Funkhouser was just sitting in his house after the sex and Larry didn't even bat an eye, "Funk man!"

That and every other Jew just aggressively dismissing all his attempts at being actually religious killed me.

ICWUDT!

I also saw Ron's wife being played by Janice from friends. Thank god she said LOL instead of laughing!

Great episode.
Also "Janice" saying "lol" instead of laughing works on more than one level for everyone who remembers her incredibly annoying laugh on Friends.

Larry's facial expressions always make me laugh, hence, my new avatar

This episode was an instant classic.
I think Curb is the only show that gets better the longer it is on.
Larry David is a genius!

No, that was the last shot. A close-up on him as he couldn't decide which group to go with. Then to black/credits.

Nice. Larry Miller was pretty great in this episode, I hope he has a couple more appearances, but I doubt it.

My only minor complaints, I thought Sammy blurting out that Larry Miller was having an affair was pretty ridiculous. I also felt it would've been better if Larry/Jeff riffed about Al-Abbas being the perfect place to have an affair, during their second visit after spotting Larry Miller.

Loved the term "verbal texting" and i'll be the 8th person to mention "you're Koufaxing us"

That killed as well. I wonder how non-Jews enjoyed this episode, though I suspect the audience of CYE already skews very Jewish.
