ya they look very similar. i agree about richard lewis' line, and in general he's always been one of the best parts of the show.

disagree about funkhauser, though i can see being concerned about overusing him, as he is really awesome.

Great episode but the first was better imo because it was more about advancing the story of the main characters. The divorces, moving out of the house etc.

This was a gimmick episode. The burlesque dancer. The neighbors. We'll never see these people again. Still great, but not as good as the first.

do you actually care about the story? this isn't Lost. it's a show about nothing. it's seinfeld without the laugh track. yeah there are arcs, but the whole point is just putting LD in different situations where he can make his commentaries.

I love episode 2! The awkwardness of the women crying in front of the ice cream Larry wanted. The big lady who "looks like she can handle herself" was funny. I lol'd pretty hard when LD and Leon were talking about how both of them couldn't take her on. If anyone was offended by comments like that, they need to stop watching CYE imo

Solid episode, I haven't laughed like that in a long time.

Back on track after ep 1 - quite a few lol's

I liked "maybe next time you want to cry in the supermarket, try doing it in front of the japanese food section"

Richard Lewis kills it every time on this show. He needs to be on every episode.

ep's pacing was a bit rushed compared to normal cye eps . seems like they tried to fit too many things in one ep .

other than that i lol'ed alot and a ton of good one liners

leon and larry bit about "know what im saying" was prob my fav part of the ep .

they also did replacement black guy (all black guys look a like) like they did all bald guys look the same in Seinfeld. i just care about execution. only so many jokes you can pull.

The replacement black guy was awesome because I was worried they would take away Leon. Leon is one of the best characters in the show ldo. Guy goes out of his way to return the laptop and boom, gets owned. Recycled or predictable, it's still funny.

I thought there were some excellent bits in this episode and some not so good bits, didn't think the denoument was particularly good either.

Can tell someone is really funny/a good comedic actor if Larry David has them play a small role on the show.

of course it wasn't all perfect and i didn't care for a bunch of the battered women stuff. funkhauser has been overused in recent years and become less funny for me, but richard lewis is still the absolute best. 'you looked at her mole with a goddamn telescope like galileo jerking off from 40 feet away'. what's not to love about that? basically any conversation scene involving leon or richard lewis is consistently great.
Top 10 Curb line.

I don't get the hate either. I lol'ed throughout the episode.

Those ****ing battered women really need to move.

I thought it was a pretty funny episode, Richard Lewis is just too damn funny; that galileo joke was some real genius stuff. I like Super Dave too, he reminds me of my uncle, and Leon is out of control. Also, Larry muttering under his breath making fun of the dog**** lady was good too. It was a packed episode.

When they started the hospital scene, I didn't immediately get that Leon was going to be painted as the abuser, so I died when he came out from behind the curtain. Good episode.

No episode with Leon can be the show's worst.

This is why this show is so damn good. Larry reaches a pretty broad audience, which is tough to do with comedy being so subjective. Of course there are those that just don't get the show and I would never trust one of them to watch my child or borrow my car.

I thought that the 'krazee-eyez killah' episode was rather gimmicky in the same way that this one was. I still enjoyed both episodes, but I'm more into the subtle social nuances and awkward situations that Larry puts under a glaring spotlight. The best part of this episode, imo, was merely getting the crying women away from the darn ice cream freezer. Funkhauser did have some gems: "Have you set a day aside when you're gonna finally look at her face" had me rolling. The dog crap situation was really great as well. I mean, it was a funny ass episode. They all are. It just didn't come together for me somehow.

In general, I'm less into the over the top bits that verge on slapstick and more into the uncomfortable scenarios that I can see myself getting into. I loved Leon last season, but I believe his role has run its course. I reserve the right to change my opinion depending how the season goes.

I looked for Chubby Hubby at the super market today, but couldn't find it. Anyone know which supermarkets sell it in So Cal?

I disagree, I think Leon is still on top of his game.
The **** he came of with in the titty bar, you simply cannot write a script for that, it's so random and so funny.

I liked the bit where Leon was going on about how many times he could have stolen from Larry because he knows his ATM PIN, social security number, alarm code, his mother's maiden name. Leon could do countless things with that information. Password resets on websites typically ask for your mother's maiden name as a security question, last 4 of SSN when calling a call center, etc.

You could tell Larry keeps his mother's maiden name a secret from everyone because he is paranoid about someone stealing his information.

really loved the bit about larry looking to be the beaten spouse in a gay relationship with leon
larry give me some money!

was really convinced larry was gonna pull the trigger to get leon out of his house finally but larry was unusually in the dark about what the doctor was hinting at. very uncurblike to be that clueless and not devious at all
