Yahoo is trying to become a player in various markets, look at them acquiring Twitch etc. I'm not going to complain about more Community . I thought I had heard they were going to release 8 episodes at once but guess I'm wrong and it's going to be weekly?

It's legit, looks like Yahoo is serious about creating content. Supposedly they gave the show the same budget it had on NBC, and Harmon should have at least as much control as he had before.

And yeah, weekly episode releases I believe.

Would be great to see Glover come back for an episode or three, or a movie, to end the series (whenever that happens), but I have no idea if he's amenable to that or how they'd fit Troy back into the plot.

To nobody's disappointment, Shirley's gone (Yvette Nicole Brown left for family reasons), and it looks like Jonathan Banks and John Oliver will be reduced to guest spots at best since they're both busy with their own shows. At least a couple of new characters are getting introduced.

Don't have access to the episodes yet but online reviews for the two released today are almost unanimously positive. Looking forward to getting my hands on them this evening.

Just finished with the first episode and I had the opposite reaction, Eddy. I thought it was great, in fact I was kind of surprised with how much I enjoyed it after finding the second half of last season to be very lackluster. I think Paget is going to be a solid fit.

Watched E1, loved it. What was the joke with New Shirley having to sit in Troy's seat?

I m super annoyed at the obvious meta selfconcious remarks, it was ok from abed but now i felt it was all the time from everyone.

I thought it was Pierce's seat. They weren't ready to have a new person sit in Shirley's seat but didn't feel so protective over Pierce's.

Loved it, and New Shirley is a total milf.

Thought the first episode was pretty comfortably the worst Community ep ever. Surprised at the reactions.

First ep was uneven with some high points (Blade Runner reference from Leonard made me lol for some reason), definitely an awkward effort to re-establish things. Now that I think of it, I remember the start of past seasons being the same way, seems like something Dan Harmon isn't great at.

I thought the second episode was awesome, felt like they were in mid-season form. Loved the bit with Britta's parents, which seemed to make total sense for her character. I heard that they're planning on going deeper into the characters and not going nuts with theme episodes this season...if they can do it as well as this episode, it should be a solid season.

Hoping the trend (that started with the last ep of S5, I guess) of doing fake TV/movie trailers at the end of each show continues. "Knee-High Mischief" was classic.
