started my #2 shot. I'm at episode 8 of s02 I believe, and it's pretty good. really like willow, even though sometimes the way she talks gets me a bit irritated. I certainly like the dialogues a lot more than the whole monster thing.

I was just looking through the episode list and realized that season 2 really has a ton of throw-away episodes. But s02/e7 is really good ("Lie to me") and it's about to get into a meaty over-arching story. Excited for you that you get to watch it for the first time!

spike is clearly the best character ainec.

andrew and willi the snitch are great, and often overlooked.

buffybot is good too.

Hated Andrew until about halfway through season 7. He really grew on me, though.

Xander was the weakest link in Buffy. So useless that there was an episode devoted to how useless he is. Which was admittedly a pretty fun ep.

the actor who played xander said he cried when he read that script he was so moved by it.

it's weird they cast him. the rest of the cast was pretty strong. he was terrible. he might have been a great character if he had a good actor playing him

He was the weakest actor on the show, but he only occassionally held them back. I thought he was mostly fine.

I read (maybe ITT) that they were planning on killing him off pretty early in the series, but he basically begged his way onto the permanent cast because he just had nothing else going for him.

I think he grounded the show pretty well. It shows how a bellow average guy can fit with extraordinary people as long as he accepts who he is and tries to make everything as good as he can.

Then again i believe anyone who hates anything about buffy should be burned alive

i dont even hate beerbad

Beer bad is a hilarious episode.

"I'm cutting you off"

"Did it hurt?"

The delivery is gold.

Xander, however, didn't accept who he was. He spends alooooottt of time trying to get away from who he really is

did you guys see the first willow? she was terrible. they should have recast xander as well as willow. don't get me wrong, i LOVE buffy, and i think xander was even good sometimes. i loved him in the dracula episode. and with a different actor i think xander could have potentially been a great character, like wesley or giles or any of the other bazillion great characters on the show

I'm at the swim team ep atm. One of the guys in the swim team is prison break's michael scofield. Always weird to see these guys so early in their careers

I actually thought it wasn't that bad. better than the last one, at least (poltergeist ep where buffy is still trying to get over angel and he actually takes a bath after kissing her because he's so disgusted. lol)

If you dislike any of those episodes you're definitely not emotionally invested in the characters at all. This show can't be amazing if you're not IN it completely

meh, I just couldn't care less about the angel-buffy relationship and it's by far my least favorite arc in the show.
I was a lot more moved when giles girlfriend died, i.e.

The Buffy-Angel relationship was never entirely convincing as it didn't develop naturally. Angel was clearly intended to be the love interest from day one so their relationship feels artificial. Contrast with Angel-Cordelia, where their friendship gradually grows into something deeper.

kansasct, did you finish season 2 yet? what did you think?

Hmmm.. I think that's a spoiler since i'm still at the s02 finale and there's not really much of angel-cordelia

That actually takes place in angel.

Buffy/angel is also ****ing creepy IMO. He's like 300 years old and she's 16. I remember liking them more when I was younger and sometimes think that it's because you felt like it developed slower when you couldn't watch the episodes back to back.

worse than being 300 is being a demon. dating a demon is bad news. i've done it.

No matter how old you get, you never lose your taste for 16 year-olds.

Just finished s03e15 (Faith centered ep). Really don't like her and the mayor. the former tries way too much to look cool and the latter is just terrible. I don't really know if it's the actor or the character but the way he acts is just ludicrous.
I think my fav ep this season is Lovers Walk, the one Spike comes back.
