Yeah I don't know why people are thinking this is guaranteed. To me it is quite the opposite. I think the odds of Hank finding out about Walt from Walt using some fish pouch trick are about 20-1 at best.

Good so far.

I only have two very minor complaints. I feel like they are playing with shadows/lighting too much. Also, I think Walt's evilness is being accelerated a little too quickly.

Also, Lydia plus Walt seems like a reckless combination. Doesn't Lydia know that by killing all those people it will only make everyone more suspicious and increase scrutiny?

Damn straight. I fully intend to do a thesis on why Saul is the most moral of the characters when this thing is over.

Have we ever seen any evidence that Walt does anything beyond normal utility cooking?

When exactly would Walt have picked up this technique from Gus?

It's not even 20-1- it's just utter nonsense.

So Walt wearing rubber gloves while washing the dishes just emphasizes his character as habitually super clean, like when they cooked in the super lab. Most people don't wear rubber gloves while washing dishes in the kitchen, right?

amazing episode. however i don't understand why a great show like breaking bad wouldn't cast an actual german or someone who is at least bilingual for the role of that dip nerd.

Why would Chow give up Mike if he knew he was going to get killed anyway? Mike had stated earlier to Lydia that his men were solid and wouldn't roll anyone.

That was before Mike knew that the bank accounts had been compromised. He made a point of saying that they were well compensated to keep their mouths shut.

You can tell the people who are new to watching good tv shows. The crap they normally watch has no subtly and explains everything to them in BOLD so on another tv show Gus will open mouth kiss a dude and go 'I am so gay for you' at which point Sugar Nut will be like "Oh okay. He is gay."
Considering the creator has said "We deliberately left that ambiguous," I think it still falls under "speculation", albeit very reasonable speculation supported by evidence.

That happened to me too for The Shield. Didn't realize until early on in the last season, but when I did, I was pretty bummed out.

Such a good episode. Loved the scene where Jesse broke down. Those nuggets looked really delicious too.

Gonna have to try making my own homemade Franch.

One thing I did like was when Hank's boss says "he was somebody else completely, right in front of me, right under my nose" the focus the camera on Hank as if he's thinking hard.

Hate to rehash it but is this where we stand on the poisoning?
What happened: Walt has Saul's guy steal Jesse's cigarette, then poisons Brock with the berries.
What Walt wanted Jesse to think: Gus stole the cigarette, then poisoned Brock with it, to make Jesse think Walt poisoned the kid with the ricin.
What Jesse has to think now: He lost the cigarette on his known. Gus never knew about the ricin or that Jesse lost it, but Gus just decided to poison Brock with berries anyway, still trying to frame Walter.
Not seeing how it can make any sense to Jesse here.

Final scene should convince some Walter apologists that he's a complete monster at this point. I've thought of him as mainly a villain from the start. The bed speech reminded me of the scene from S1 or S2 when he shows the newborn all the cash he has stored in the wall, telling the baby "I did this for you." He's convinced himself that's true, but from the beginning we know he passed on the money from his former partner because of pride. It's never been about helping his family.
No, the story Jesse believes is the kid accidentally ate some berries, and he was just paranoid about it.

in the series opener, it was skyler that made the '50' out of bacon...
maybe in the flashforward, weddingringlesswalt is depressed that he has lost her (for whichever of the numerous possibilities) and he makes the '52' as sort of a self-reflection moment.
OR
maybe he just likes playing with his food.
