only because you asked - included in the spoiler tags below. many ppl have read this and it's referenced a lot on the comments in the youtube teasers. i think its legit, i think u will too if you read it. to give you a heads up, it spoils the possible intro to episode 9 and a couple parts that happen in the episode.

i truly think its only about episode 9 which is a relief. i dont mind being spoiled for the first episode or two b/c the wait is unbearable but i dont want to be spoiled for stuff that happens later. however, it would take a LOT to spoil anything deep into s6, ive looked and theres nothing out there.

You can't have it both ways. Choose a side. s5b or s6, there is no middle ground.

I read this as "anyone get so excited that you pissed yourself?"

re-watched up to s04e08. In the flashback scene, after Hector shoots Gus' partner, Don Eladio tells Gus: "The only reason you are still alive is because I know who you are. But you are not in Chile now."

I haven't read / watched any spoilers, and nor do I intend to. But does anyone else (without inside info) suspect this could be a clue as to what might bring about the end of Walt? We've not yet been introduced to the Chilean equivalent of the cousins!

I have it on good authority that
Spoiler:
zombie Pinochet
is going to make an appearance.

I think Walt has got enough enemies that they won't need to invent/import more from Chile to make things more interesting.

Hank and Walter Jr. just never got the respect they deserved and its high time for a new duo to show everyone who's boss.

I think it will end with hank and walter jr. starting their own laundromat/carwash and running walt and jesse out of business.

it's something that could be addressed, but it doesn't have to.

No offense to you personally, but this must signify the time of year on the BB thread where the idiotic theories begin circling. It's painfully obvious that they are not going to introduce a new "villain" with merely 8 episodes left and plenty of plot left to unfold. Do you really think Gilligan is that bad that he would let a character who has never been mentioned, referenced, or heard of come in with 8 episodes left and destroy the main character?

/facepalm

At the end of season four, I steadfastly claimed Ted Beneke was dead, and ended up being dead wrong. You sound exactly like I did back then.

What's more plausible, the idea that Vince Gilligan and the other writers would be able to come up with a way to convincingly portray some kind of threat to Walt as a result of Gus' death, involving some individual or group of people from Chile trying to kill him, or the idea that they specifically decided to drop a line like "the only reason you're alive is because I know who you are" into a pivotal season four episode at a key moment in the knowledge that they weren't going to follow it through?

I would be extremely surprised if we get absolutely no follow-up on the death of the biggest meth kingpin north of the border. There are fairly obviously tons of ways they could do it effectively without having to introduce, characterise and flesh out a new villain in the space of eight episodes.

yeah it just struck me as something that was never tied up. There were numerous hints about Gus' mysterious history in Chile, culminating in the ****ing head of the Mexican cartel saying he's "aware of who he is", so I got to wondering if that might be a factor in the final run of episodes. The bit about the Chilean cousins was tongue in cheek! However it ought to be noted that 8 epidodes is a long time in this show, for example we'd never met Lydia 8 episodes ago. So anything's possible, I guess.

Eeeeexactly. We'd never met Declan either - in fact, I believe he's still only been in two scenes - but chances are he'll play a decent sized role, and even if he doesn't, everyone will remember him as the guy from the 'say my name' scene. 6 hours of television (and yes, 6 hours is what it is, America, because 25% of each of your TV shows consists of commercials) is a long, long time.

Def agree it's entirely possible there's a Chilean arc in s5B. Not sure it's probable, though.

I didn't even say that fwiw, my point was: yes, the chilean line was dropped and never explained. While it would be cool to get some more background on it, this doesn't necessarily NEED to happen, the show would be fine without it ever being explained.

I don't know wether a new character that is tied to Chile at this point is possible, it would have made a lot more sense in 5A than it would have now.

But the line could also be addressed via the investigation into gus that is running, like hank dropping a line that they found "ties with..." or w/e

Yeah, this is kinda what I meant. It doesn't have to be a big plot point, but they will surely at least acknowledge what that one line was all about. If they don't, I think we can safely assume they planned to do so but changed direction.

It's funny how I live in the UK - where BB is not shown anywhere except Netflix - yet even over here, everyone I know is still losing their **** in anticipation for the return of BB.

Just saw this 9 minute recap of all 5 seasons on Reddit. Pretty damn good but I'm still probably gonna watch all 5 seasons again before the premiere of 5B.
