Those both feel contrived, death or prison, death or prison feels more satisfying. I'd say the odds of Walt getting out of this as a live free man are about the same as a character in a Shakespearian tragedy.
Spoiler:
I wouldn't see him as any sort of janitor or teaching, but I could see him (only if this route is taken, which I hope isn't) is that he has tons of meth, and no distribution because no one wants anything to do with him and he killed off those who could've. It'd be a bit of an ambiguous end, but the last snot being similar to the first promo picture for this season.

BB speculation and Shield spoilers.

Spoiler:
I think a Vic Mackey ending would be awesome. I still think the Shield ending is one of the best in TV history. Death or Prison are so easy, a true punishment for Walt is a life of realization that everything he had is lost and his empire has crumbled.

An ending that has him alive but without anything is what I am rooting for.

pretty sure breaking bad ends up with walter white in bed with skylar, it's early morning, and he awakens to his clock radio alarm playing 'i got you, babe'

Might as well. Cause I'll be Groundhog Day'ing the show almost immediately after the series finale.

My theory on the ending B)

Spoiler:
Walt Junior starts Breakfast Inc., a company which specialises in healthy easy quality premade breakfast products and it's such a huge success his company is worth billions within a couple of months. However, the cartel has had it with Walt his antics and decides to kill him. Walt obviously has too much pride to ask for help so he goes on the run and decides to lure the cartel into a trap at a parking lot where he would kill as much as he could. However the plan fails horribly and somehow Walt ends up in crashing his car into the Breakfast Inc. factory while being chased by the cartel. He stumbles out of the car, grabs the M60 and runs inside. He sets up a quick trap and opens fire on the huge amounts of cartel members streaming inside. Cereal, bacon, eggs, legs, arms, everything is flying through the air but finally the bearded cartel guy is able to put a gun to the back of Walt's head. He yells "HOW DID YOU KNOW THE LOCATION OF OUR HEADQUARTERS?". Walt doesn't know how to reply and bearded guy is about to pull the trigger when suddenly they hear the sound of stilts moving behind them. They both turn around and there is Walt Junior slowly arriving on the scene in his 10 000 dollar suit. The bearded guy yells "BOSS! GET OUT OF HERE ITS NOT SAFE!". Walt Junior replies "Do you have any ****ing idea who that is? That's my ****ing dad you idiot. He'll be a good employee from now on. Anyway, the new lab is ready, escort Walt downstairs so he can start his first cook. And someone clean this ****ing **** up while I go have some breakfast.".

Yeah. I'm surprised you didn't get it either.

I hoped you're at least hitting your head against a desk

My dream BB ending would be for Walt to murder Sizzler and Hank and for the show to end with Walt smashing Marie from behind slow motion, like the funeral scene at the end of A Clockwork Orange.

Agreed. I get that Walt is a bad guy, but so what? Bad guys win all the time, just not enough in media. I feel like him dying, or winding up in prison just doesn't have any balls imo.

Why not a Godfather II style ending? Walt does win, but basically loses everything and everyone in the process.

i was thinking that. he'd wish the gun just went off in the first ep and saved everyone the trouble.

or a soylent green ending, where it is revealed that methylamine is made out of dissolved corpses

METHYLAMINE IS PEOPLE

Not that i think it'll end that way, but I like the idea of that as a flashback type of thing. I havent checked bit I wonder if thats one of the habits he has from past doings. Like the sandwich crusts

It's not going to end this way. Vince Gilligan has been pretty clear about karma being a big, unseen character in the series. Whatever happens to Walt will eventually involve some kind of karmic comeuppance.
