Go back 100 posts and start reading. No point in grunching a thread and then asking a question -- as if everyone is going to do the work for you and copy-paste the conversation about it.

Come on, people, let's do a better job to make this thread readable. We could cut down on half the noise by reducing grunch questions like this and not repeating our own arguments over and over (Tom and Fish are well on their way to getting along, which is good). The Mad Men thread is a good example of a largely intelligent and dedicated readership that posts thoughtfully. It would be awesome if the BB thread could follow that model and not turn into the scoundrel-loaded shouting matches of past year.

I know you guys are capable so let's get better!

I did (well I wrote 4 of the heads of the network an email) and got this response:

Quote:
Dear Valued DISH customer,

Thank you for your e-mail. We value your business and the opportunity to discuss this situation with you.

It’s in our DNA to provide the best programming to our customers at the best value possible. That’s our first priority and it guides how we run the business. As we keep customers first, we’re constantly making evaluations on the value various channels bring to the DISH family.

AMC Networks requires us to provide and pay for channels beyond AMC, including WE tv and IFC which, as a whole, do not deliver value to our customer base for the price demanded. Providing value to our customers is at the core of our business. We are the only Pay TV provider to not have raised your programming prices this year and as a result, we cannot ask our customers to pay more for this extraneous programming.

We regret that AMC Networks has chosen to involve viewers at this time. Our contract does not allow us to go into further details, however, we remain hopeful that we can find a resolution that brings AMC’s networks at a value they’ve come to expect.

Interesting. I wonder how much the netflix relationship feeds into their calculation. I feel like almost everyone who likes cable would still switch based on it, i know I would.

It's also a joke that they say that considering how much other random crap people have to pay for that they don't watch when they sign up.

Have started re-watching season 4. Have watched the first 4 episodes so far.

Can confirm Psyklor's argument about buying the champagne was still as annoying as the first time.

I also forgot how much actually happens during that season. There is only another 9 episodes and there is so, so much more to happen.

Fish-

Your problem is you do not understand people like me and nath's position and see everything as black and white.

You also keep asking the same questions over and over that have already been answered. Maybe it's time to just realize you'll never get it and move on.

But I do think Walt has the opportunity for redemption. That redemption must come from admission of guilt and swallowing his ego, and atoning for his sins. He must make right from it. This could be as simple as realizing what he has done, and choosing those who he has harmed over himself. If Jesse gets in trouble, and he turns himself in to save Jesse, that would be fairly redeeming. I just don't think it's very likely to happen given how many opportunities he has had and what his personality is.

Walt dies in the final episode

think about it.. its the best way to go out.. this show is about shock value .. its gonna be the best final episode ever

Walt saves up all his loot and plans to hide out in Colorado with his family. Only he must kill Pinkman because if he doesn't, then his family will die.

Pinkman finds out and kills walt first because if he doesn't he will die

Pinkman rides off into the sunset

O/U on episode # when Walt Jr. (Flynn) finds out Walt is a meth cook?
06-28-2012 , 01:23 PM
Fish-- after reading part of your latest post, a big problem seems to be that you are still operating from the fundamental premise that Walt is a good guy and his meth-cooking venture was a noble and selfless act, and the burden of proof is on us to show otherwise.

He's not, it's not, and I think we've clearly done so.
