Oops, must have missed the mention. I knew Walt talked about acquiring the precursors, but not specifically the methylamine.

wonder who walt is going to get with that spare ricin that he's got stashed away in the plug socket thingy.
07-22-2012 , 11:44 PM
do you think he even knows at this point or it's a "just in case i need it" type thing?

Just keeping it handy imo. Potential uses tend to crop up.

As badass as Mike is, I still don't see how his goose isn't cooked now that the cops know about that bank account in his name. It's obvious they'll be watching him closely. Maybe he's planning to help bust Walt to save himself, and that's why he agreed to join in the partnership? This is complicated by Hank's relationship with Walt though, which Mike knows about. So I'm not sure what his angle is.

not a chance.

i don't think they have enough evidence to tail/wiretap him yet, so it's more likely he wants to quickly make a bunch of money w/ walt + jesse and then get out of sight imo

From the dialog with the cops it seemed to suggest that the bank accounts alone don't mean enough to do anything beyond turn off the faucet on people to try and get them to flip. They can seize the assets, but they can't get them for anything criminal.

one of my favorite things about the show are the interrogation scenes. They do a great job with those. I'm always on the edge of my seat wondering what Hank and co. have come up with and what the person on the other end is gonna say in response. Mike tonight, Gus last season, also that hooker and Jesse in season 2 (both were good and also hilarious)

Anyone notice the parallel between Mike's speech in half measures and his actions with that woman? First thing I thought after that scene.

Someone had a quote earlier referencing that I believe... 'No more half measures Walter'

Either way, Lydia might not be fully satisfied till more ppl on that list are dead - even w/ Mike threatening her life

Also... is Lydia like Gus's mistress??? Or just logistics for meth

Oh, nice, I didn't catch that. I think Mike knows he's kind of ****ed, though. If he had that money untouched he would just retire quietly. He's already damned himself by getting back together with Walt and Jesse; sparing Lydia is just an extension of that decision.

I know you're kidding, but I thought she was really great in this episode. Just with so little screen time and dialogued, she communicated how depressed, defeated, and in hell she is now that she really knows what Walt is.

Always love Mike. Great episode. Loved the cold open. Lydia was in the Madrigal meeting with the DEA, right? Wasn't sure if that was her on my first watch.

Pretty sure that was her.

Yeah- that was her. One of the points of that scene was her being freaked out that the Head Madrigal guy wanted to know if anybody else in his company was dirty.

I think this is true, but to be kinda brutally honest- her default look kinda does this as well.

With the new girl, the show isn't exactly overflowing in likable female characters. I mean I guess all the male characters have a lot of dysfunction as well (hmm... who is the most normal person on BB)- but still, if there were more of them I'd find it almost problematic.

It's amazing how this show never has down episodes. It's all pure genius. I loved this episode.

I totally forgot about Walt with the full beard driving off with the weapon he just purchased in the trunk, from the first episode. So everything in ep 2 is before that happens, right?

The gun buying scene is a year after the events in this episode.

That was my quote, I was goofing around and figured I would just come out and ask before it got buried.

Yeah Mike is caught between a rock and a hard place. I think him keeping her alive is going to bite him. Then again so will his association with Walter. I wonder which one comes first.

Lydia was in the meeting with Madrigal and the DEA.

Great episode, I would watch a Mike spinoff, such an interesting character and a terrific performance. The cold open was one of the best the show has done, with a few tweaks it could work as a short film.

Incredible direction throughout. Amazing shot with the back of chau's head in the middle of the frame while Mike and the other guy were sitting and talking. The scene in the women's house was also brilliantly shot.

Very welcome episode after a slightly underwhelming premiere.

Fantastic episode. The opening, the scene at Chau's house, the interrogation, all classic.

And Walt is getting creepy as hell.

hard as **** mike gonna hard as **** mike

Easily one of the most intense and well executed episodes. The final scene left me unbelievably creeped out.

Poor Chou looked like he'd aged twenty years since we saw him last.
