I actually kinda like that as a trick to create dramatic tension. By doing things slightly out of order, they're basically keeping us buzzing and thinking about those unresolved questions. By keeping us out of step with the characters and their plans, we're always wondering, and it makes things a lot more interesting as they develop.

That fits his character perfectly. The writers just added some dialog to justify 20 seasons of not killing jesse. It's still weak.

Yeah- the first three seasons were mostly great. It's just that all the fantastic setup they did didn't get delivered upon at all for the most part. The end result is that I wouldn't really suggest anybody watch it unless they can cope with the frustration.
