Gave Bob's Burgers a try, I know it's funny but I never really found myself actually "lol'ing" once though :/ I enjoy it somewhat and it's entertaining but after like, the 3rd ep I remember thinking "I don't think I've actually laughed yet"

The show gets better as it goes on. I don't really get not laughing at all, but the last few episodes have been the funniest of the series.

Ever watch that Simpsons episode where Bart sells his soul? It's like that, I appreciate that it's funny, I'm just not laughing. Maybe I'll try the later eps I've only seen 1-3... Or maybe I am dead inside 0.0

they spoiled it a bit by showing it in the commercials, but gene insisting to punching the guy in the crotch when he was choking was hilarious

this show is amazing. the writing and voice talent are so good you barely notice the terrible animation.

I think the terrible animation is part of the charm. For instance the animation in new Simpsons/South Park is too good, I don't want my animated shows to have perfect shadowing in HD.

Another solid episode, if it weren't impossible I would try and create a meatsiah.

I wasn't feeling this episode as much as the last few. Wasn't as funny imo.

the new simpsons animation is terrible imo, "too good" is a good way to put it, but i think BB needs to up the quality a little bit. the motions don't look right when the character speak and move.

regarding the McFarland-Trio discussion up thread, American Dad is the best of the three shows. Anyone who doesn't like it has a seriously defective sense of humor. Family guy is hilarious but not as good as it used to be. The Cleveland show is entertaining, but unnecessary. I watch it every week, but I wouldn't care the slightest bit if it went away.

I would much rather Family Guy went away instead of CS, but bothof them have outlived their purpose

the thing about these shows is that, what else is Fox gonna air? Sick of people crying about the McFarlane shows. First of all, Family Guy is a moneymaker, and still hates most of the time, American Dad is brilliant, and well... Cleveland Show is good, but I've realized that it's not as good b/c Cleveland himself kinda sucks. He's not a strong enough main character. The other side characters are solid.

But seriously, people are still mad about what here? King of the Hill being cancelled after being on for 12 years? gimmie a break. If anything, the Simpsons is the worst of the 5 shows, actually, it's not even close anymore.

Even with my limited understanding of how ratings work i can see that Bob's Burgers has been consistently beating American Dad. Yet FOX renewed Dad and (i'm assuming) keeping it in the 2 hour animated block next season while Bob's Burgers barely got renewed and won't have a prime time spot.

American Dad has huge foreign market sales, as far as im aware (though ive not looked it up admittedly) Bob's Burgers hasnt been sold, or at least not as widely, outside the US.

AD is also a mature product. Its audience is basically set and wont be going anywhere. BB is still a gamble, it may beat it for ratings now, but does it by the end of the season? Next season? The one after? Its an imperfect way to view it, but its another factor that will go into the mix.
