lol I'm not even on the show. Yeah, Gene is a ****ing moron. Sometimes his enthusiasm is slightly charming, but he's pretty much a zero compared to all the other characters as far as generating laughs.

Gene's non-sequiturs are often gold.

The thing about Gene is he is a child there are very few children characters on television (Ralph Wiggum is one of the few others). Most children on television (and movies too) are small adults or plot devices. Teens are much better represented, even if seldom particularly authentic. Children barley exist.
