This is literally the only show I keep up with weekly. Everything else I get to whenever.

Yeah Teddy has been really great this season. I particularly like the previous episode where he thought Bob's last name was Burgers. H Jon Benjamin's line reading in that scene was so good.

Start both imo.

It really depends what kind of humor you go for. Archer is infinitley more adult oriented and raunchy, Bob has more heart and can be quite touching at times (Archer does not have these moments) Current Bob feels like golden age Simpsons. Current Archer feels like golden age South Park without the celebrity satire

Good god, the toilet episode was absolutely hilarious. Wow.

As for this vs. Archer, I prefer Archer, but they're both really solid.

This show is so good that Fox doesn't deserve it. But, at least they gave it a chance and didn't cancel it like they probably considered.

This is true, Fox is notorious for cancelling really good shows, so I am glad they stuck with this one.

I saw first season and then it kinda fell off my radar. Reading this thread and the references to this show as the golden age of The Simpsons really makes me want to catch up.

I listened to the T-I-N-A song about twenty times at the end. So good.

OMG, Bob looks ****ing scary in the opening, and Tina's voice coming from Daniel is incredibly weird.

Just watched Sheesh! Cab, Bob again. Some great lines in that episode.

Guess who learned a lot about transvestite hookers last night? I swear i was only on that website for like a minute.

And

I think I might be a pimp.
You're gonna need a bigger hat!

So good

Pretty weak episode this week imo (my expectations are absurdly high at this point though) but had a few good laughs. Now i have Gene's song stuck in my head

really bad episode. the old swingers stuff reminded me of the first ep i ever saw, with the transvestite hookers in bob's cab, that turned me off the show for the first 2 years it was on. and the vast majority of the snake stuff fell flat, just nothing in this ep worked for me.

Holy crap, you dont like the cab episode? I think its one of their best. It has the absurdity of the cab plotline with the heartwarmingness of Bob doing anything for his daughter

i hated it as my first exposure to a new show. it was like "look how wacky and off-the-wall we are! we've got transvestite hookers on our show! isn't that weird and original?! and jimmy pesto has a diaper fetish! what the what!! all this gross stuff is hilarious, right??"

same thing with this week's episode about old swingers. old people having sex parties is so crazy it's funny!! and the old guy gets off on balloons popping, what!! no.

beefsquatch is the worst episode, though. gene-centric episodes are just the ****s. i actually am a fan of the show outside of these complaints, though.

Been watching since day 1, had no idea other people liked the show so much too. Definitely the highlight of my Sunday nights. Mini-Bob GOAT moment so far.

But again, the zaniness is the underscore of the actual heart of the episode. The cab episode is about Bob being a good dad, and doing anything for his daughter including moonlighting as a cab driver, and shaving his mustache so he looks hideous. This episode was about two old timers about to be put out on their ass because the old man can't fit in, and Bob being a good son in law by helping him figure out how, which leads to him reconnecting with his wife after 20 years. (Yes, Bob had his selfish reasons of not wanting the parents to stay with them, but all in all, the episode shows what kind of a good guy Bob is at the core.)
