Was it Danny's son who saw John and what's his name get out of Danny's Miami apartment?

no. because with the Sopranos, GOT, breaking bad. the story actually continued. you could see it

season 2 is going to be a plotline that they just PULLED out of their ass for continuation. no way does this see a season 3 story wise unless they happen to keep writing down **** on the fly

I thought I read something from the creators of the show that they had 3-4 seasons of ideas.

5-6 seasons, and yeah you read it on post 55 in this thread.

with that said, i don't think there's anyone that has super high hopes for S2. i was completely wrong about true detective tho, so maybe i will be wrong here in a good way.

Yeah I'd prefer if it was one of these "anthologies" like fargo or True Detective.

Same kind of setting but different characters.

Definitely think the first season ran its course.

That said, it will be interesting to see what exactly Danny was up to in miami eg why he was sending all the money back, his restaurant, his son, and whatnot.
Might be good to see Kyle Chandler, the sister, and that little punk Kevin go down as well mind you.
I loved the first season, the acting, setting, cinematography was ace.

referring to Lindsay Weir as the mistress from MM is like referring to Tom Hanks as Ned from Family Ties.

Just watched this show over the past week. Great show! It's been out for over a year, I don't think spoiler tags are necessary. People shouldn't read show specific threads if don't want to be spoiled.

I don't really see how they bring Danny back as a regular for s2. Occasional flashbacks, sure, but he shouldn't get too much screentime.

Thoughts on who it was in the blue Rayburn House tshirt that saw John/Kevin going into Danny's apt to trash it? I thought it was John's son...maybe Danny's son, but I don't see him wearing that shirt.

S2 speculation:
John becomes lead sheriff
Marco and DEA focus on Lowry
Lowry may seek some form on revenge on Rayburn family
If cops were smart they should be able to gps track Danny's phone, but I think that will just be a plothole
Marco may end up finding something out and know too much and need to be killed

seems like a safe bet to wait for review before starting the binge watch

I could see a case where each season goes back in time and at the end of the season you change your feeling towards which family members you can sympathize with and which you dont.

Or simply one from the end point with danny flashbacks. Which seems like the safe route.

Yeah I think the latter option is more likely.

When season 1 ended,
Spoiler:
everything seemed to be coming up roses for the Rayburn family. Suddenly the competing deal for Kevin's marina fell through. Meg got her job in NYC and looked to be getting back with her old flame. John was being primed for Sheriff. It was almost as if getting rid of Danny lifted the cloud on them.

I think Season 2 will be about how all that comes unraveled, and how they will all have to pay for their sins.

In a statement, Netflix revealed that new Florida tax credits to lure film and television production are not going to push through, as indicated in Keys Net. According to the publication, a $300 million statement program, which was created in 2010, let tax credits to productions that film in Florida as the location. The publication added that the said program is set to end in July, but the tax credit reserves have already been utilized.

While "Bloodline" producers managed to obtain tax credits for the first two seasons, it is assumed that the inadequacy of the said credits will not be able to push season 3."

that's annoying if they shot season 2 without knowing it would be their last

If s2 is a hit, should be able to justify added costs for s3.

again, it was 5-6 seasons that they pitched.

with that said, i bet even the lost guys said they had six seasons of ideas, and we know that isn't true.

This was a truly great one season show. Wherever they take it from here is gonna suck. Especially since where they hinted at the end it would be going seems bad to me. A great one and done though.

yeah i'm not going to watch trailers. if anyone wants to get deep into trailer analysis it would be great if that could take place in spoiler tags.

Not gonna spoil anything, but thought it looks very promising - this after watching the first season thinking there's no change they can pull of another one from that.
