I guess I'm not familiar with that term but wouldn't that leave a giant rope tied completely around the boat? I'll have to watch it again, pretty sure the other times he went down and up the same side as, in the underwater scene on the second drop it looked that way to me, and he never came back up feet first in either of the second or third drops.

Just rewatched the scene. He's hoisted up by his feet. Then another rope is hooked to the rope between his hands. Then the rope holding him by his feet is released and he falls into the ocean. Then they pull him by the second rope under the ship.

Yeah, to me, it was the one big wtf moment of the whole show. But then, if you know the real life story of Anne and Jack, they were captured and didn't die in a fight.

I'm sure the writers have something in mind.

really enjoyed this series was sad to see the last episode of it

gotta say flint is a great actor Toby Stephens and after a quick google his mother is Dame Maggie Smith

will be hoping for spin offs

Loved the series, hated the finale. The show was way too good for an "everybody lives happily ever after" ending.

i thought the finale was ok. i mean its set before treasure island so they couldn't really change things too drastically. They just set up several options for spin offs imo

i remember learning all this in primary school i must go back over it all as its really good stories.

am i the only one who thinks silver actually killed flint on skeleton island? when they cut away from their last conversation, they show his crew reacting to something, which i imagine is a gun shot? then the way flint's reunion with thomas was filmed didn't seem real, like a dream sequence or something. i dunno maybe i'm imagining things.
