And now with Trump winning the election, The Waldo Moment is looking pretty damn prescient.

LOL I'm watching Shut and Dance....while I'm sure it would be horrifying for a teenage boy, if someone tried that on me, I'd be like, "post it. It's just me having a wank. Big deal."

Thankfully, you can wipe that gross feeling from that episode with the next one

Shut Up and Dance made me put tape over my laptop camera. Interesting hour, but not one that will stay with me for long.

Now, San Junipero...that was lovely. No better word I can think of than...lovely. Kindness and acceptance are in short supply in Black Mirror, so that was a nice surprise.

Wonderful performances, too. Got me all teary. ...Although, I think it might just have been perfect if Kelly didn't also pass over...if she followed her husband. What do the rest of you think?

It also made me miss the 80s.

As a fellow 80's teen I knew every song and most of the lyrics.

If you're not an atheist and believe in an afterlife, that ending could range from horror to trivial. What was actually transferred to the host? A simple copy of the brain? Consciousness? Soul?

And if it is 'Endless Summer', what does that make the limited time of 'real life'?

I think I prefer an ending where Kelly doesn't join the matrix.

Man Against Fire was damn good. Love the atmosphere each episode pulls off. The directing and set design are spectacular. This episode shows it.

Hated in the Nation was ****ing brilliant. I loved every minute of it. When the bees got to the girls in the bathroom, I was like OMGOMGOMG lol.

Someone ITT described it a third-rate X-Files episode, and that cannot be further from the truth. It held me completely spellbound from the first frame. Loved the ending. Kelly MacDonald is one of my favorites, too.

So here are my rankings:

1. Entire History of You
2. Hated in the Nation
3. San Junipero
4. Be Right Back
5. National Anthem
6. White Christmas
7. Men Against Fire
8. Nosedive
9. Shut Up and Dance
10. 15 million merits
11. White Bear
12. Waldo Moment
13. Playtest

But I really loved all of them...superior television.

What I like about Black mirror is they use very little expository dialogue and as a result the viewer is actively trying to figure out what's going on in the episode from the beginning. The show is great at getting you to care about characters you were just introduced to minutes earlier.

I rank Men Against Fire low on the list because the construct of the episode, while very creative/thought provoking, was explained largely through expository dialogue given by a character introduced towards the end. This gave me flashbacks of The Architect in one of those ****ty Matrix sequels.

Hated in the Nation was also a cool concept but was executed poorly. Basically was the season finale of an NCIS type show. The ending was especially corny. "You thought that character killed herself? Think again she's still on the case, but on her own terms. And this time she's one step ahead. Bad guys watch out!" Ugh, no thanks.

I transferred to my company's risk management team, that includes the team that maintains data security at the firm. The first thing you notice is that ALL the data security people have tape over their cameras. And after about a month of spending time with them learning about this stuff, I have tape on all my computers as well. Monitoring a large network 24/7 and seeing all the attempted intrusions makes you REALLY paranoid. Or informed. Or both.

Doesn't the camera light up when it is on? Or is there a way to get around that?

Confirmed: Hackers can view the video output of your webcam remotely but cannot execute code to shut off a red light.

Anyone elsee have Hated in the Nation as favorite episode?

San Junipero was great too obv.

S3E1 was probably the worst outing of the series.

that show is elite, not a single episode that wouldnt deserve a release in theaters imo compared to what get released instead.

the one with the bees is the best. gave a huge fist pump when all the twitter trolls got killed. agree it would have been better without the lame "she faked her death and tracked down the bad guy!" ending

Yeah I loved Hated in the Nation but even I can agree the ending sucked.

I actually didn't even realise she had faked her death, I thought she had just gone after the 'bad guy'. For me the ending was just a huge wtf because he had already won, so who gives a **** if she finds him or not.

There is no redemption, justice or reduction of suffering by tracking him down. It's just purely irrelevant information.

Put my vote in for the spooky "Hated in the Nation" season 3 ep6 (ep 13 overall) episode.
If you're a web junkie, like most of us here are, it is especially darn scary. You could never be sure where it was going and it just got more frightening as it went on. I'm staying off twitter and away from hashtags with "death" in them for good . Grade A except I wish it had Eng sub titles since the British dialogue was tough to decipher. The final minute ending didn't matter one way or another for me.

San Junipero was Grade A too plus it was uplifting in a weird way.

I thought Men Against Fire was good. That idea though might be even better for a movie or an entire series and felt kinda wasted here.

same. the ending sounded like a 90's action flick. it's my second favorite ep this season though, only behind playtest. which is funny because dominic thought was the worst of the series.
