Good decision. BB is the most addicting reality gameshow imo. The rules in a nutshell:
--BB is basically played on a week-by-week basis (although later in the season they'll do expedited weeks and 2-for-1 elimination weeks as well).
--The week starts with a Head of Household (HoH) competition involving everyone in the house. The winner becomes that week's HoH. The HoH then nominates any 2 houseguests for eviction. This is episode 1 every week.
--They then play the veto competition, played by the HoH, the 2 nominees, and 3 randomly selected players. The winner of the veto has the right (but not the obligation) to pull a nominee (themself or another person) off the eviction block. If used, the HoH must then nominate someone else. The veto episode is episode 2 every week.
--The final episode of the week is the eviction ceremony, where the houseguests (sans the nominees and HoH) vote for who to evict from the house. They then repeat the process. Note that the previous week's HoH cannot compete in the following week's HoH competition.
Another huge difference is the live feeds that you can pay for on cbs.com that give you 24/7 access to the house. This also means there will be spoilers every week, so if you don't wanna know what happens before it airs on TV, avoid the fan sites. Occasionally some butthole posts them in here, but usually people are pretty good about using spoiler tags (it makes the thread a little weird in-season because there's usually 1 convo going on in tags and a whole other convo going on outside of them).
There are some other twists that usually get thrown in there as well, but that's pretty much the gist of the game. The last 3 seasons were pretty bad imo, but I still get excited everytime it starts up again.
