It goes without saying that when a meeting results in a job offer, it was the job SEEKER who initiated the contact.

I don't think Kim implied this offer came out of the blue. I don't think Jimmy thought that, either.

This is not empirically true. It happens the other way around a lot.

I guess it depends on what exactly you mean by out of the blue, but Kim was very clearly hiding that it was her idea for her to join Schweikart by leveraging Mesa Verde.

That's how I saw it.
She said she was there to "follow up" on a case she gave to them.

--I'm REALLY gonna miss Kim. Taking that cast off her off was like taking an albatross (Jimmy) off her neck. And remember that shot of Kim closing a door on half of Jimmy's face? This time, the door got *all* of him.

--What kind of German drinks Miller Lite???

--How did Jimmy meet Huell again? (EDIT: never mind, I googled it.)

Lavell Crawford lost so much weight I barely recognized him.

Also, the whole "R&R" situation with the German workers seems so contrived. How difficult could it be to put the workers into the box truck, drive them to some secluded outdoor location, and bus in some hookers for a booze and sex picnic. It's not like these guys, who barely speak English, know many details about the where, why, and how of their construction project.

The opening was beautifully done. Plus it moved us forward 8 or 9 months.

Yes. They work at the laundromat, they don't live there. Thought this was evident when they were all hauled into the laundromat truck to be transported to the work site.

ya I watched recently rewatched some breaking bad and was shocked at how big he was. like, unhealthily and unhumanly big.

now he looks like a somewhat normal obese american.

as for them talking, they proly didnt even need to take all these precuautions with them. justs have them build a big basement and let them live in aparments in society. its not like its illegal to build a basement. what I dont understand is how they are able to build it without housing authorities and utilities finding out.

I know a guy who built a 2br 2ba home in his mother's backyard without permits of any kind...and he didn't do it underground, at night.

I don't understand why Kim is helping Jimmy. She knows Jimmy is a scumbag enabler for drug dealers. They are clearly moving away from each other relationship wise. They really never seemed to have much chemistry in the first place. I don't even know what Jimmy gets out of it either now that they won't be opening a firm together.

Is she developing some kind of martyr complex? I suspect somehow that Kim is basically gonna get pinched for some shady legal work. Just as Jimmy brought down Chuck and Howard, Kim will follow suit.

I'm also not sure how these German guys don't eventually find out what the purpose of this project is. I mean if they find out, I doubt that they end up leaving America alive.

Even they understand what the purpose of the project is, they don't know the location of the laundromat/meth lab. That's a primary point of Mike's security arrangements.

And only the crew chief knows Gus. (right?)

However, I do have a problem in this storyline. Gus is taking extraordinary precautions to prevent the construction crew from knowing critical information. Yet, several laundry workers (in Breaking Bad) seemed to understand exactly what was going on, including a manager.

In the most recent episode of BCS, the construction crew arrives when laundry workers are still in the building. That seemed like an unnecessary exposure of information both ways.

Yes on only the chief knowing Gus.

I thought the same thing when they came in the place. I imagine most laundry workers would shrug it off as something that needs to be done in off hours. For someone as cautious as Gus, it seems wrong.

Unrelated, whoever is figuring out the music each week in great.

I'm sure that they could describe Mike and enough about the area that agents could figure out what's going on.

Thought Mike speaking German sounded pretty badass.

The name of the laundry service is printed on the back of the truck that takes them to and from work every single day.

So here's a weird Breaking Bad thing I just realized, as I came across the 80s classic Valley Girl on TV tonight....

The teen villain who fights Nicolas Cage for the girl:

go to :25

Is this guy from Breaking Bad:

Also in Valley Girl.

I'd have to rewatch to be be sure, but if I remember correctly, the way they were loaded on and off of the truck, I don't think they were every able to see the outside of the truck with the name of the laundry on it. I could be wrong, though.
