When Mike tracks gas cap guy to Gus, how does Gus react? We saw what happened to Victor by Gus...

Count me in this column, I did a rewatch of both series before this premiered. BB gets nuclear hot in S3 though, but I have faith that BCS will churn out a great season. Loved Ep1.

I agree. Breaking Bad got absolutely amazing in season 3. I couldn't stop watching it at that point.

He kills Mike?

How did this thread get filled with such aids??

Some of you truly fail at basic TV watching.

Seriously.

And well, the aids...

This show WILL deliver, so hike up your skirt, grab your balls, and come along for the ride or GTFO.

Old joke, but that's still one of the best threads ever on 2+2.

5. Bad guy shows up with a replacement tracking device planted in a replacement gas cap. He does a quick switch-er-oo, putting a fresh cap/tracker on Mike's car, and taking the old one with him (those things are expensive!), thinking the one he took has a dead battery.

6. Bad Guy is now carrying Mike's brand new device, hidden in a gas cap. Mike gives pursuit.
All of that was obvious to me, but I don't get why he needed to connect the old cap to the radio. Why not just destroy the first one, and they'll think the battery went dead. I know nothing about how tracking devices work, fwiw

Or how Mike knows they wouldn't just replace the battery, or that they would take the old one but not notice its still transmitting. . .

If insecure dorks didn't feel the need to call people stupid for disagreeing with them on subjective matters things wouldn't be so bad, but basically that's what every OOTv thread devolves into. " GOAT show! Eh, it's not that great. LOL you're dumb! " que endless ranting.

Shows pretty good. Needs Chuck to die though, everything with him is medicore to terrible. And give Mike all of his screen time.

Nobody I making fun because people don't like the show. We are making fun because the level of critique is so poor.

"Dude, it's so boring cause like nothing happened for 2 minutes".

Probably because the makers had 6 seasons of practice before making BCS, which they didn't have before making BB.

I was underwhelmed with the season opener. The only BCS ep that I've ever fallen asleep in.

if he destroys the first one, then he cant track them.

and as far as hoping they just swap caps, well he took a chance that they would employ the fastest and most efficient method possible. if they actually take apart the gas cap and replace it that way, well then oh well mike loses. or he accosts the guy and beats the info out of him i dunno.

If it all of a sudden goes dead they might think he found it and destroyed it. If they are paying attention they probably will notice the signal fluctuating before it goes dead and then think the battery died.

Nothing happened for 2 seasons. They would start moving down an interesting path and then immediately move away to something else that was very...what's the word...mundane...no...unremarkable...no not quite right...uninspired...hmm can't think of the exact right word for this spot...

Anyway I'll stop. Have fun watching your show about a guy going to work every day. PM me if you're running low on stuff to watch and I'll send you footage of my morning commute.

The only way he loses is if they don't physically take his new device with them in some way, thinking it's the old one with a dead battery. Taking the whole cap or taking just the device itself still places it in their car.

On the other hand, if they only swap out the "dead" battery but leave the device in place, then Mike has to go out there and beat someone's ass to find out who he's working for.

http://www.amc.com/shows/better-call...on-3-episode-2

2 minutes of episode 2 all about the gas cap.
In addition not shown in that clip:
Spoiler:
I am pretty sure I saw in other previews at the end of episode 1 that mike followed the signal and ended up seeing the gas cap laying in the street.

Oh yeah, when AMC played the "Best of Saul Goodman" episodes a couple of weeks ago, I caught part of the episode where Mike took Jesse around to make pickups, and then (as it turned out) set Jesse up to be the hero.

On one of the pickups, Mike was in some old abandoned, industrial-looking place, and reached up into a hanging duct for the drop.

Was that the same place he met Nacho last year, or the doctor this year?
04-13-2017 , 09:05 PM
Don't know, but I wondered the same thing this week.

(Not with the Nacho meeting, tho.)

How about Philliesque? They've been mundane, unremarkable and uninspired for 5 years. You still watch them?

re. Kim on her computer: I could be way off base on this since I haven't seen anyone else mention it but I thought it was about her figuring out that the document had been tampered with because the 1st letter of the sentence wouldn't line up where it was supposed to.

This. The screen had power bars. He left a little juice in the battery so it would show low power before dying.

I like the show but comparisons to BB are crazy imo. This is a well written interesting show that at best is on the second tier with shows like Justified.

Not pinnacle like BB/Wire/Sopranos/Mad Men

yeah, i think you're off base on that interpretation.

it's just a good way of showing how important this case is to her and how seriously she takes her work. she is also stressed out because chuck was fired for the simple mistake of getting an address wrong and to add to that she has feelings of guilt because she was complicit in that after the fact.
