Better Call Saul - Season 3 Better Call Saul - Season 3

Here is the pic of Ernesto from reddit that they are talking about. Non spoilery. Are they on to something or grasping at straws/Vince effing with us?

Spoiler:

1. Mike finds a tracking device in his gas cap.

2. Mike wants to know who put it there.

3. Mike kills the battery in the device, so the shadowy bad guys will come replace it.

4. Mike buys his own device, put it in his gas cap.

5. Bad guy shows up with a replacement tracking device planted in a replacement gas cap. He does a quick switch-er-oo, putting a fresh cap/tracker on Mike's car, and taking the old one with him (those things are expensive!), thinking the one he took has a dead battery.

6. Bad Guy is now carrying Mike's brand new device, hidden in a gas cap. Mike gives pursuit.

Yeah I think you're right. I need to rewatch Gus's scenes to refresh my memory but you're right. Gus likes to watch people from the sidelines and very few people get to know him on a personal level.

So this show is super boring, right?
When is Jimmy going to turn into Saul? Are they going to make us sit through another season waiting for the transformation to Saul?

Mike is carrying the show

Gus does imply that he has children. In BB S3E11 (Abiquiiuiuiuiuiui), when he has Walt over for dinner, Gus mentions that the kids don't like the Chilean dish he's making.

It's quite a reach to say at this point Ernie is at all likely to be Gus's son, but Gus having a son would be consistent with BB backstory.

Yea I quit on Season 2 because of how slow it was. Can anyone make a case for catching up? I didn't see much difference between BCS and one of those generic CBS or ABC lawyer shows. That's somewhat of an exaggeration because the character development is better and there's loose connections to the Breaking Bad universe.

So much terrible "critique" itt. I am certainly understanding why Two and a Half Men was so popular.

This. Saul tells Walt something like "I know a guy who knows a guy"

Lmao @ all the haters. This show is ELITE.

Thinking BCS is too pedestrian to watch, especially given the absurd amount of content available at the moment, doesn't make you a 2.5 Men fan.

I don't get the folks who complain about some shows being too slow.

I hear it about this show, Rectify, BB, etc. Slow (when it is well done) usually means good character development, solid storylines, lots of subtle moments, etc and less unbelievable action scenes and/or characters.

It is one of the reasons I am a fan of several UK police shows/mysteries on Netflix. They take their time, but with purpose.

I don't think you know what pedestrian means in this context. That is the last word one would use to describe this show.

"Slow" = Kim's "agonizing over punctuation" scene.

Some folks take a lot from that scene.

Some folks take nothing from it, and wonder why we had to stop the show for a minute.

that punctuation scene is a perfect example of some of the stuff i was bitching about earlier

By pedestrian I mean a few peak excitement plot points are Jimmy uncovering a nursing home scandal and getting a new office (I stopped somewhere in Season 2). This would be a fine standalone show but its impossible not to compare it to the excitement of BB.

thread delivering already

This show is not BB and its not supposed to be. There are many scenes that make you think you are watching BB and that is a nice bonus.

For those saying its too slow and just hurry and turn into Saul. LOL
Watch BB. This show is how he turns into to Saul.

It is one of the best shows on TV right now. If you can't follow it then watch some of the dumbed-down stuff that is easier on your brain.

i'd take an hour of KIM punctuating her **** over a minute of SKYLUR
04-12-2017 , 05:50 PM
The pacing of this show is part of the reason it's elite.
04-12-2017 , 06:39 PM
I enjoyed the first 2 seasons of BCS more than I enjoyed the first 2 seasons of Breaking Bad.

The fact Chuck smiles and flips the tongs after Ernesto walks away is all we needed to know it was staged.

thread is searching their gas cap & quadruple checking their punctuation at the moment

The reason why I think it could be real is because Ernesto is really a minor character but he keeps showing up, it's weird. I mean there's been some really great characters on BCS that I wish we would see more of like Nacho or Playuh but we keep seeing Ernie. Isn't it kind of fishy?
The family that Gus mentioned to Walt was fake. He never brought them up in his dinner with Jesse. It was an attempt to get close to Walt through a common bond, and he didnt feel that it would play the same with Jesse
