to pass what along to jimmy? "yo dawg chuck has this tape, i accidentally played it for 2 seconds and while i couldn't really tell what's on it, he acted like it was important and was super rustled and blah blah'd about attorney client privilege and how he's gonna hang my ass out to dry if i say anything to anyone about it, and i know we don't ever hang out or kick it or whatever but hey, JUST THOUGHT U SHOULD KNOW BRO"

seems dumb

It has Jimmy's voice on it.

Is it just me or is Mike now driving without a gascap?

Living dangerously.

Yes, just the fact that he's got a tape recording of Jimmy would be odd. There's Chuck's reaction, too.

He asked the junk man about a gas cap, no idea if he bought one

I can't wait to see how Mike deals with a check engine light.

I didn't need to do any of that to figure out wtf was going on.

Elite show is elite. Lol to those complaining it's not Two and a Half Men.

Great opening.

You sound like a friend of mine who I tried unsuccessfully to get him to watch Breaking Bad. He gave it three episodes and gave up completely for being too boring. To this day he still hasn't seen BB despite so many people telling him about its GOATness .

I was on the edge of my seat for the entire time for the Mike segment. I was so intrigued to see who would show up to change the gascap. Will it be Gus? who the fk is going to show up? lol. Figured it couldn't be Nacho or the twins because Mike was spying on them in the desert so I was so pumped to see if someone from the Breaking Bad universe will show up. I loved this episode so much.

This was my thought as well.

Could be wrong, but I'm content with being left in suspense

Ask yourself this, why was the recording at the specific spot where Jimmy confirms about switching the digits and not at the end of the tape or the beginning, or where he left off with Howard.

This show is dumb, it's just a bunch of lawyer talk and a boring old man. It needs more action and some decent pussy.

The show had way too much "wtf is going on this is vague as ****" going on for my liking.

I anticipate things to pick up quickly though.

I found it helpful to read a recap of season 2 before watching, because I have the long term memory of a fruit fly.

If they added audience reactions it would def help.

Geez, maybe they could give Mike a slow-witted sidekick so he would have to carefully explain everything that he's doing, for the benefit of certain viewers.

I have no idea what was so confusing about anything in that episode unless you were only half paying attention or didn't watch/remember last season.

BTW Rob Cesterino and Antonio Mazzaro does a great job recapping BCS on thier podcast from postshowrecaps http://postshowrecaps.com/tv-show/be...1-recap-mabel/

Antonio is a lawyer so he's especially helpful with the legal aspects of the show. Give it a listen if you're curious on what Chuck is really up to. Antonio breaks down Chuck's plan to set up Ernesto from a lawyer's POV and why he's doing it. Starts at approx 16:00.

A cool topic on the podcast is that they're speculating that Ernesto is actually Gus Fring's son. The more I think about it, I think it's a certainty that is true. We know that Saul has a real strong connection with Gus but we haven't seen him yet. Is Ernesto Jimmy's link to Gus who would eventually turn Jimmy into Saul? I think so.

First episode contained a lot of unnecessary filler in between all of the bits of substance and actual narrative progress here and there. I'm really happy that the show is back, and I look forward to new eps of it more than just about any show nowadays, but I'm sad to say that the premiere was a letdown. All that being said, I continue to have absolute faith in Gilligan & company and expect another phenomenal season.

Not mutually exclusive w/ having a son, and I don't think it was ever expressly said on BB one way or the other, but wasn't it heavily implied that Gus is gay?

On the podcast, Antonio re-watched Breaking Bad and mentioned that Gus said he had a son (but was never shown), which is where the speculation is coming from. Rob and Antonio also joked how Ernesto looks exactly like Gus and shared some of his mannerisms. Could be Vince Gilligan effing with us tho lol. The reason why I think it could be real is because Ernesto is really a minor character but he keeps showing up, it's weird. I mean there's been some really great characters on BCS that I wish we would see more of like Nacho or Playuh but we keep seeing Ernie. Isn't it kind of fishy?

Saul's connection to Gus goes through Mike.

Otherwise, Saul has no idea who Gus is.
