Better Call Saul - Season 3 Better Call Saul - Season 3

So whats up, nobody watching this anymore? lol

The pill switching was intense. The next episode will be great.

No discussion here of last night's episode? Here are some thoughts:

1. Chuck keeping a detailed log of his pain episodes is so Chuck. The same is true of his insistence that he can cure himself better and faster than the ordinary patient.

2. Slippin' Jimmy actually hurt his back when pretending to hurt his back. For us older guys, the idea that we can't do (or even eat) what we used to without new consequences is pretty familiar.

3. Jimmy played "Smoke on the Water" with his new guitar. That was Marco's theme, remember?

4. It will never happen, but it would be best for both of them for both Howard and Kim to realize that they are getting nothing but grief from association with the McGill brothers, and they should dump both of them and create the New Mexico legal powerhouse of Hamlin & Wexler.

5. Looks like Jimmy's (should I say Saul's) reputation among the [rhymes with mug mealer] community is about to spread. We've seen the beginning of the Saul persona, and now we're seeing the beginning of his clientele.

"Best $700 I ever spent!"

made me lol

Slippin' Jimmy actually slipping was great.

"Rhymes with mug mealer" was one of the best lines in this entire series. It's right up there with the "stripper pole in a mosque" comment from the very first episode.

You would think he was handling nitro glycerin. It was ground up ibuprofen.

Just trying to get out of his required therapy seems to me.

When he said "Keep the camera on me." i knew Slippin Jimmy was back.
And I was sure he was gonna really hurt himself.

I was picturing Jake from 2 1/2 men.

They would make an attractive couple.

I highly doubt it.

I didn't think so at the time, and its not on her IMDB.

Who was the dead body Mike found? Didn't play close attention to the ep since I'm watching on my second tv while grinding. Was he the woman's husband? Didn't she say he died decades ago tho?

Dead body was some random guy who came across what was left of the Ice Cream truck after Mike knocked it off. I think the random untied the driver who called Hector. Hector and Nacho (I assume) came out picked up the driver and killed the random. Mike has had remorse ever since for getting someone not in the game killed.

I hope Jimmy tells Chuck he got the insurance people on him. "It's for you're own good."

Never heard of this guy. Crooked lawyer with wacky tv commercials, and an office decorated with miniature Statue of Liberty? Now he vanishes before sentencing?

Check the Cinnabons!
yee dude the character was always based on something real

I thought the dead body was the missing husband of the woman from the widows' meeting that Mike seemed to connect with, rather than the Samaritan (although I'm not sure in either case how he'd know where to dig).

I read the Sepinwall review and he mentioned the body was the good samaritan too. Would never make the connection since it's been a while since that was talked about on the show.

Anyone catch the ticking clock when chuck was talking to his dr.?

Hopefully he dies and his boring subplot dies with him

Thought it was clearly the good Samaritan since it was brought up either this episode or last by someone. Maybe in a Gus convo with Mike?

Ya the dead body was the good samirtan for sure.. was the sa,e place where mike did the jack move on don hectors guy...

Ha, my first thought was, why did he go through all the trouble of pill-grinding, he could have just used baking soda or something.

the location of the dead body was the "one more thing" mike needed from nacho

I also liked how nearly every scene had someone counting cash:

1. Nacho counting the haul from his dealers.
2. Kim counting Jimmy's rent
3. Jimmy counting the $700 from the drug dealer
4. Mike counting out some of his stashed bills.

...and other scenes involving money:

5. Jimmy sorting though his coin collection
6. Howard and Kim wrangling over the personal check she gave him.

This is the episode where Jimmy McGill became Saul Goodman

Why is it that ibuprofen will be fatal or otherwise harmful to Don Hector? I'm having trouble following that part.

Hector has a condition that is treated by a certain drug. If he doesn't have that drug, he doesn't get better. It'd be like like having an asthma attack and your inhaler has helium in it
