Better Call Saul - Season 3 Better Call Saul - Season 3

she was still paying off law school to HHM, no way she's older than early 30s in the show

How old is Jimmy supposed to be on this show? Maybe 40? I'd peg Kim as roughly the same age.

I think Kim is supposed to be 5-10 years younger than Jimmy. Figure she did the standard straight to college then law school, while Jimmy spent however many years being a low level grifter before moving to NM and working in the mail room.

Or maybe not? I guess I assumed Kim had a law degree before joining HHM, but if that were the case she wouldn't owe Howard tuition money. Her backstory is pretty vague.

By that logic, Jimmy who didn't finish law school that long ago, should be in his 20s?

We know that Kim and Jimmy both worked in the HHM mailroom while she worked her way through law school. I am pretty sure she didn't have a law degree before joining HHM.

the wiki page has jimmy at 41 in BCS and kim in her 'mid thirties'.

i am pretty sure that she went to law school *instead of* spending her early adult years scamming idiots in bars, taking dumps in peoples cars and going in and out of jail, not afterwards.

The way you put it it's almost like you're trying to make a Chicago sunroof into a bad thing.

'Better Call Saul' Renewed For Season 4

The AMC drama will return in 2018.

June 27, 2017

"AMC announced today that Better Call Saul has been renewed for a fourth season. The good news comes one week after the Breaking Bad spin-off wrapped its third season; one which continued its impressive run by averaging 3.6 million viewers and ranking as cable TV's third-highest-rated drama among adults 25-54.

While today's news confirms that Season 4 is indeed on the way, it was already quite clear from the events in Season 3 that the show has a lot more story to tell. Small-time lawyer Jimmy McGill is still hustling to make ends meet, and the seeds of his eventual transformation into Saul Goodman are just starting to be be planted.

The cable network has ordered another 10 episodes for Season 4 of Better Call Saul, with Vince Gilligan and Peter Gould set to return as showrunners. Look for the fourth season to premiere in 2018."

Never a doubt in my mind.

Kim is ****ing hot, she's probably supposed to be like 35~ on the show.

Anybody with a legal background here?

For some reason, it occurred to me over the weekend that Jimmy's threatening to sue the guy in charge of the cleanup program was a total bluff (?)

None of the things he talked about losing pension, house, job, etc could ever really happen in that sort of setup, could it? As long as the supervisor was following the rules, it would have to be Jimmy vs the employer, wouldn't it?

Jimmy was just relying on that supervisor to be legally illiterate, right?

Thats the way I understood it.

Even if suit were baseless, dude would still go broke fighting it.
07-02-2017 , 07:46 PM
you can't sue him if he's doing his job, you effectively have to sue the department and the county's lawyers defend him. The show should depict the consequences next season after the monitor tells his higher ups.
07-03-2017 , 05:13 AM
you can sue anyone for anything and it s way easier for the monitor to not bother

Didn't read any of the comments yet, I only started watching s3 a few days ago and semi-binged it. I don't think I give this show enough credit. Every time there's a new season I'm always like "meh, it's just a spin-off", and put it somewhere towards the end of my queue of shows to watch. Then every time when I actually start watching I realize that it's still a really great show. Sure, it will almost certainly never be as a good as Breaking Bad, because it's pretty ****ing difficult to make a show as good as one of the top10 shows of all time. But BCS is still one of the best dramas currently on television (well, "television"), imo, and season 3 was by far the best season yet.

I have the hots for Rhea Seehorn, she's been growing on me a lot.

edit: Just saw the comments above about their ages, imo Jimmy is 33-35 and Kim is 30-32 or so.

Jimmy has to be at least 40, because there's no way Chuck isn't supposed to be at least in his 50s, and there is a flashback of them as boys that don't appear to be more than ten years apart.

And while Breaking Bad might not have revealed a specific time, there were plenty of cultural references that place it right in the 2008-2010 frame.

There's also the flashback to 1992 (ten years back) where Chuck visits Jimmy in jail. Make-up didn't do a very good job if Chuck is supposed to be no older than in his late 30s at that time.

Am I the only one who thinks it's kinda odd that Jonathan Banks got a best supporting actor Emmy nomination over Michael McKean?
07-14-2017 , 11:10 AM
all that needs to be said there is that ray ****ing donovan won several emmies, so any credibility they ever had just got completely destroyed in one fell swoop

lol emmies

Nothing surprises me with awards. I think Banks is great in the role, but McKean absolutely nailed it.

But I've given up on awards since Travis Fimmel and Gustaf Skarsgard have never even sniffed at a nomination for Vikings.

Aya Cash not receiving a nod for You're The Worst season 2 is one of the bigger most recent snubs.
