So last month I went to NYCC and actually got to see the whole episode w/a live audience at Hammerstein Ballroom. Kevin Smith hosted and there was a big Q&A panel w/the entire cast afterwards. That and the giant foam chainsaw hand I got for going was the highlight of the night for me.

That said even though I already saw it before I was still looking forward to seeing it again because it was that ****ing great....no wait not great but GROOVY!!!!!

Immediately watching that on youtube once I saw your post.

Pretty good so far, was cool how they surprised everyone by dropping the premiere of the episode. (or did people going know ahead of time?)

Awwww hell yeah! I'm putting on Army of Darkness right now and it just occurred to me that I have never seen it. All this time I thought I did.

I don't know whats worse. The fact that you haven't seen it or that you thought you did.

Anyway, you're in for a treat. It's such a great movie with so many memorable moments. I was like 9 years old when my older cousin was babysitting my bro's and I and brought it for us. All I remember is that night after it was over we kept repeating the line - "Let's get the hell outta here"

For some reason I thought I did. I know that I never saw this as an adult so I must've seen a bunch of funny clips of it when I was a kid and thought I saw it all this time.
Anyways.....the first time I've ever seen Evil Dead was when I was a kid and we were having a slumber party lol. Some girls there said they wanted to watch a horror movie and we put on the Evil Dead. I remember we were all laughing so hard throughout the entire movie. Thought it was the funniest thing we've ever seen. I still remember that night from my childhood for some reason, one of the funnest nights of my life. We were all laughing so hard all night having the best time. Bringing back some great memories.

What a fantastic premier. Everything that I hoped for. Cannot wait for more.

One question that may or may not have been answered at some point in the series, why is Ash working at Value Mart and not S-Mart?

A different company owns the rights to that name, I think because of Army of Darkness. So they can't use S-Mart and some other things from the movie. That kind of sucks.

I thought Episode 1 was all kinds of awesome from start to finish and I am just talking the opening scene.

Loved it obviously, so happy it didn't let me down. Really stoked for the rest.

I'm watching it again. I actually thought it'd be a great show from the previews (mostly because Raimi was directly involved), but the pilot exceeded my wildest imagination. No one makes horror/comedy like Raimi, and Campbell is the nuts as Ash.

I liked episode 2 even better than the first. Campbell's line delivery is so good - 'Oh good, I was really starting to feel like a dick' and his reaction to being told the family was Jewish were both great.

Great so far and can only get better when Xena joins up.

Best part of the episode was Ash trying really hard just to sit there and eat dinner and eventually just said "**** it!" and punched her in the face.

Followed by the awesome delivery of "Oh good - I was starting to feel like a real dick."

Really solid episode. Not a step down at all. And the 30 minute episode length is key; I'm glad they didn't try to package it at an hour or longer.

Agreed, my wife at the end of the episode said "That's it? But I want more now" which is the exact response you want from an audience.

this show is awesome

That episode made me feel all tingly inside No Xena this episode but I see we'll catch up to her next week.

Solid 2nd episode...did not disappoint.

It was fantastic but it felt really short. That said, I can't believe how they're meeting/exceeding expectations so far.
