nah, pretty sure she is a plant / Russian, even after Gabriel's denial.

as for Gabriel telling Philip "hey btw don't make Paige a spy" I think that was a soft moment for him after getting to meet her. I think he legit wants a good life for Paige.

Agree on both points. Gabriel was so defensive in that denial that I think it's a lock now.

Tuan is an interesting character.
-He talks tons of **** about how weak everyone is. I wonder if he respects Phillip and Elizabeth, and how much control they really have over him
-He keeps telling Phil and Liz they should be around more. Is he starting to lose it being by himself all the time? Foreshadowing something?

So far this entire season has been foreshadowing.

Tuan is a little prick, really hoping they end up killing him.

You almost got your wish.

I'm really hoping they didn't reintroduce Martha just to have a chitchat with Gabriel. That scene did nothing for me.

Pretty sure there's going to be more to it. Martha was in the same grocery store with Oleg a few episodes back. Obviously they're on a collision course.

That was the reintroduction I was referring to. She shows up there, then reappears now cooking a meal she seems disappointed in, and tells Gabriel not to let the door hit his ass on the way out.

Does she have dirt on Oleg that I'm forgetting?

Ah. Maybe the plot line involving her is that she threatens to expose the Illegals and tries to redefect to the U.S. in exchange for what she knows and immunity or reduced punishment. She knows what Philip (and Elizabeth?) really looks like. Stan sees one FBI sketch artist rendering of Philip and the jig is up.

Have to admit though that "Nadezhda" sounds more badass than "Elizabeth."

DVR didn't pick up last nights ep.

Any idea how long it takes to show up on fxnow or on demand? Both still showing last weeks as the most recent.

oleg's storyline has seemed completely pointless this season. I find myself getting up for drinks or whatever during the scenes where they speak russia so i probably miss half of it, but it doesn't seem to matter at all.

wish they had just wrote his character out of the show instead of using 8 minutes of screen time every week.

There seem to be a number of red herrings this season that add very little if anything to the plot. It's still a good season.

Since when did they start going to Pastor Tim for advice?

And maybe they should have reported Tuan before he did something really stupid.

I'm having a hard time figuring out their moral compass. They felt bad about killing the greenhouse guy (although Elizabeth seemed to have more of a "**** happens" attitude), had no issue killing the Nazi collaborator's husband who was innocent and didn't know her real story, but are bent out of shape about the Russian kid (who is doing it to himself, albeit after manipulation by Tuan). Maybe we're meant to be confused.

I also fear for Oleg, which sucks because I like the dude.

wut

killing the nazi's husband is what pushed elizabeth to the "I'm ready to retire" point.

Seeing what's happening to Pasha is making her seriously think about her own kids adjusting to life back home. There's only one more season so that will probably figure in heavily.

FWIW, it seems like the Center would be pushing hard to get henry into that boarding school, tons of washington insiders probably have their kids there, even an outside shot of converting Henry with a bunch of connected friends is worth the investment.

The next episode should (finally) have some major events. We've got Oleg, Martha and Mischa all kicking around and that stuff has to get unwound somehow, plus the russians Stan is working.

That was one of my favorites scenes of the whole series. You can tell they want to lose their **** and say "what the **** lady!? What part of secret operation don't you understand?"

Anyone else do a deep dive into the 1976 soviet red army team to see if they were referring to an actual player?
Ok, maybe not.
Only 1 Gennady (A Dman!), but no Bystrov.
