I know it repeated on Esquire, but I don't know if there are repeats of the repeat.

Will be interesting to see the televised version of the regional we attended.

Ep 1

Spoiler:
Kevin Bull instantly became my favorite ninja after he surpassed Cannonball Alley last season and I'm glad to see him finish with by far the fastest time, though I always get super nervous when the favorites try to do that since they're actually sacrificing a lot of equity (like Flip last season - or was it that other dude?) and risking going out due to going too fast.

This is one of few shows where I MUST watch the newest ep immediately and it's brutal having to wait a week for each new ep, they should totally do 2 eps per week

We had tickets for the 2:30am taping, got there at 1:45am, but didn't get in until some time after 3am. What they don't tell you is taping doesn't stop so some people who had tickets for an earlier session were still there. We had to stand for quite a while before getting seats near the warped wall. The four people behind us had been there since the beginning.

I got a chuckle from them because the lone man of their group kept saying how he could run the course and he looked to be about 5'9" and 250 pounds. And not much of that muscle.

I liked watching the people compete, but it is a show that is better to watch on TV. Live, you can't see the entire run unless you watch a monitor. And we only got to see about ten people compete.

- i felt sorry for the eskimo dude

- having to grab that second board on that trampoline obstacle kinda seems like bs

- 30 go through, was it 30 last season? it seems like a lot. a lot of people did nothing really that special and got through.

I don't recall anything as difficult as the board thing at our regional. We didn't see any of the big names, but according to the previews we had a couple. Will be interesting to see if they show runs in the order run or if they change the order for dramatic effect.

I say this because I was at the WPT Celebrity Invitational the year Freddy Deeb won and what was broadcast and what really happened at certain spots were different.

to be clear when I say bs I don't mean it was too hard, I just mean that stipulating you have to grab that board is inconsistent with everything from last season where people were frequently trying to skip certain things and go for enormous dismounts.

I would bet dollars to donuts that the order is screwed with, yes

To not have the second board would have made that obstacle too easy in my opinion.

Two people to watch for in the KC regional are the really short dude who never gave up on one obstacle and the guy who had his father with him.

make the second board longer then so you'd have to be a huge daredevil to intentionally attempt to bypass it

Trent Jarrett, who they said ran during a commercial and fairly early in the program, ran really late in actuality. The rings were where he got hung up, but he didn't give up.

They just showed Alan Adams in brief and he ran late, too.

We also got to see the man with the wife in the wheelchair. I couldn't see she was in a wheelchair at first and just thought she was really short.

You can see me and the wife toward the end of Michael Stanger's run and his after run interview. I am in a blue and red jacket at the end of a bleacher with the wife next to me.

There were supposedly 116 people who ran in KC and 38 finished the course. I think it could be argued that KC's course was too easy.

Been googling without success so hoping someone on here knows the answer.

What happens if multiple people finish the course in Vegas?

There were a bunch of the really top competitors in KC. Like 10 guys that could make it to stage 2 in Las Vegas. Where the week before had like 2 that could make it to stage 2.

I wonder how the producer selected contestants, especially the names, end up in the different regions. Do they choose where they go or do the producers? If the producers choose, they need to do a better job of not concentrating so many names in one region.

I just saw the first few minutes of the Houston Regional and their new obstacles looked a whole lot harder than ours.

The "first" competitor looks like he could be related to the lead actor on USA's Complications.

Finished the episode. Houston was definitely harder than KC.

I hate that they grant Wildcards to Vegas. Essentially if you are a top name, it doesn't matter what you do in the regionals. I guess they think they need to do it for ratings, but I'd rather have a even playing field for everyone.
