A tip: don't look up Simpson's Wikipedia page if you don't want to be spoiled.

I don't. All I knew before watching episode 1 was that he was a black man, known sportsman (didnt know which sport) and that he killed his wife.

Turns out he actually killed his ex-wife, and another man.

I didn't even know Kardashian had anything to do with the story.

I don't really know how it ends, although i've spoiled myself a bit looking around because I wanted to see how the real people look like vs. the series.

Rewatched last night. Travolta is so, so good at making Shapiro look like a name-dropping boob. I was cracking up inmost of his scenes, especially the last one, running through the house, calling, "OJ? OJ?..." lol

Having lived through it and been addicted to "Court TV" during the original trial, I really liked the first episode.

I remermber so much of the testimony, that it's kind of interesting to see that stuff acted out. For instance the guy with his dog who discovered the bodies - I remember watching that guy testify about coming upon Nicole's dog with bloody paws.

Looking forward to more.

Ya, they seem to hit all the right chords. Also when Detective Mark Fuhrman says he can take the other officers to OJ's house... couldn't help but remember the job the Dream Team did on him.

So far so good from me. Was engrossed in the actual trial like most here and am very interested seeing it acted out. Fave performances so far are Cuba as OJ, Travolta as Shapiro and Sarah Paulson as Marcia Clark. Schwimmer as Kardashian has been kinda meh so far; he seems unsuited for a role like that. Guy that plays Darden is a dead ringer too - looks like his twin.

I like that they are presenting the series so far as factually what happened and not trying to hammer home he's guilty or not guilty. Am really looking forward to the behind the scenes stuff of the Dream Team outside court because by many accounts most of them hated each other and egos collided constantly.

Fave scene in opening ep was when Shapiro hands the phone with Marcia Clark on the other end to the surprised doctor and she goes off on him. "WHO IS THIS?! This is district attorney Marcia Clark and this man is a fugitive!..." very well acted by Paulson and doctors reaction is priceless.

It's almost like Cuba Goodimg Jr. Didn't win an Oscar for playing a super-charismatic football player.

never heard shapiro speak irl so i'm not sure if travolta's performance is good, but the way he talks is extremely tilting

Travolta is camping it up bigtime, probably in keeping with the overall tone.

Real Shapiro just seemed like a boring LA lawyer as I remember him. Tan and smooth but nowhere near that weird.

"... And Baba Booey to you all!"

I'll do a shot if I hear it... Which means I'll have to go out tonight!

They gave us Brokaw and Costas all night (NBC). They gave us Rather at the end (CBS).

Would a little Peter Jennings and Al Michaels have killed them?

Did they really let him walk inside and sit down and talk on phone, etc. instead of throwing him down and putting cuffs on immediately?

Yep.

As crazy as all that looked tonight, multiply it by about a hundred, and you'll begin to understand what it was like back then.

if we've learned anything new from the 2nd episode it's that the kardashian kids were just as obnoxious as kids.

This whole series seems biased. Starting it off right after he murders two people and barely paying lip-service to his accomplishments in football and entertainment seems completely unfair imo. I really hope that Simpson gets the chance to respond with a mini-series of his own.
