5/10/10 mandatory straddle home game, 8 players i am in the BB. Villain in co is a pro live player with whome i play a lot and recently he had been owning me hard getting extremely lucky on rivers and me paying him off in few large pots or ~50/50 all in on flop hands where he won most of them lately. He is tight agressive and kind of ABC , has a large br and is quite a large guy, likes to intimidate other players with his demeanour and is deff very tough all round live villain.
I have about 2400$ and villain covers me.
Villain raises to 35, i call in the BB with Ah2hkd9d, utg calls. pot (110)
flop: AsAc2d
Check, check, villain bets 110, i raise to 330, utg folds, villain calls. Pot (770)
turn: 4d
I bet 700, villain shoves and i call.
river: 8c
He shows A4TT and wins 5k pot.
Thing is, he is unlikely to raise me on the turn without the A4. Coming from online background where i am almost never folding this , i found this to be a problem for me transitioning to live poker, people do actually have the nuts like 95% of the time iin these spots.
Have i done something wrong in this hand or it plays itself?
