Villan is a decent reg, no history, is this a nobrainer peel or is there merits for raising?

This one requires a lot of propokertools work, and you also must make some assumptions, the main one being: does UTG ever raise here (with SB being essentially all-in), or just calls his whole continuing range.

Intuitively I would just call with your hand. I don't think you are getting pushed off your equity with the pot being protected.

Hmmm pretty interesting spot, I think at 100bb I am shoving, but calling when you are ~150 deep, like you are.

mhhh if you raise here you often pick up the dead money but if you get it in you are often crushed. but utg prolly often raises with his big hands so i think you can still raise it and get it in

think it's closer to a fold than a raise, but i would peel. lots of good turns for us but we don't have a big enough hand to get it in now, and with the sb potting into the field and utg calling sandwiched, it's fair to assume their ranges are pretty strong.

mmm I don't see many made hands, he's raising from UTG and is decent, so 44-33 aren't in his range so often. We have the nut blocker, so there's just a JJ that crush us.

On the other side, he can have some AA/KK/QQ + fd in his range, but I don't think he's just calling with OP+NFD - and that's the part of range we hate to see when the money go in. So I probably raise tryin to bust him out of the pot and take my chance vs SB. Too spewy?

disagree, SB is short he is effectively all in, UTG is gonna be fairly wide given the pot odds.

My first thought was the same as Wazz's.

Then I looked at the stack size and decided it's actually more important to know the caller's tendencies... the stacks are just deep enough I am reluctant to ship but I am still leaning toward that way.

If UTG is good, his call is a little scary tbh, he should know that we will be attacking his weak perceived range in this spot.

I think we have the perfect to call with. Just a ton of cards on the turn that gives us strong backdoors/2 pairs; basically any 7 or higher.

Don't play this high but I would definitely peel, if we were shorter I'd shove but I think peeling is best

Thought about this a little.

With the stacks, shipping, giving up positional advantage in a spot where it's extra valuable (guy in middle has no decent options), is unwise.

Call.

Seems like a bad idea to give up positional advantage by shipping. And I agree that a thinking UTG calling the SB's (basically) all-in is a bit unnerving. I'd call, close the action, and see how you like the turn. With all this non-nut value, I'd like to get to a showdown without committing a stack.

This is the winner for me. there is a strong chance we get to realize our equity here. We end up playing the hand pretty honestly from the turn onwards but we have a strong enough hand I dont think that is a problem.
